Happy birthday to the cat who never stops talking to me. It's easy to look at this face and immediately feel pity for what’s missing, for what he can’t see. But when I look at that single eye, I don’t see a deficit. I see a survivor. I see a soul that went through things I’ll never understand and came out of it with a heart that only knows how to love.
