🌸 Happy First Day of Spring! 🌸

Spring is in the air! With warmer weather and blooming flowers comes more outdoor time—but did you know these seasonal changes can cause allergies in your pets? Keep an eye out for common signs of pet allergies, including:

🐾 Red, irritated skin (ears, belly, between toes, around eyes/mouth)
🐾 Itchiness & head shaking
🐾 Ear discharge
🐾 Scooting
🐾 Sneezing

If your pet is showing any of these signs, schedule an appointment with us to help keep them comfortable this season! 🌿

Our patient Leo recently came to our Prospect Heights hospital for a dental procedure, and our team ensured that every step of his visit was handled with care.

Leo is getting his “Pre-oxygenation” which is an important step to ensure a smooth and safe induction into anesthesia. It’s one of the many ways we go above and beyond to prioritize patient safety and comfort at every stage of care.

Paws off these Valentine's Day treats! To keep your pets safe this holiday, store chocolate and treats containing xylitol (found in candy and gum) out of reach. Avoid toxic flowers like lilies, tulips, and baby’s breath, as well as vase water, pollen, and fallen petals, which can also be harmful.

Keep ribbons, string, and bows away from curious paws to prevent choking or blockages. Swap open flames for flameless candles, or choose non-toxic candles and perfumes to keep your home pet-friendly. 💖🐾
