It’s actually a fly mask, not a blindfold.

Fly masks help protect horses’ eyes and faces from flies, dust, and harsh sunlight, keeping them comfortable and stress-free while they adjust to their new surroundings.

For rescue horses, reducing irritation can make a big difference in their recovery and overall well-being. ❤️

Over the past several weeks, we have faced significant and unexpected veterinary expenses that have placed a tremendous strain on our resources. Despite doing everything we can, we are now facing a shortfall of $4,000 to cover essential veterinary care and outstanding bills.

We are so grateful to share a hopeful update on sweet Latte.

After receiving three rounds of fluids, she is much brighter, more alert, and showing encouraging signs of improvement. Seeing a little more sparkle in her eyes and strength in her spirit has lifted our hearts tremendously.

We know we are not out of the woods yet, and we are still awaiting additional answers, but today feels like a step in the right direction. We are incredibly thankful for the excellent care she has received and for every prayer, kind message, and word of encouragement.

Please continue to keep Latte in your thoughts as we navigate the days ahead. We are taking it one day at a time and celebrating every small victory along the way.

Our sweet three-month-old filly, Latte, was down again this afternoon. Moments like these remind us how fragile these precious little lives can be and how grateful we are for those who step in to help.

We are incredibly thankful to Dr. Hills and the team at Brenham Veterinary Hospital for coming out promptly, administering fluids, and tube-feeding Latte to give her the care she desperately needed. Their compassion and dedication mean the world to us.

We are now waiting on blood test results, which should be back within the next day or two, to help us better understand what is going on and how we can best support her recovery.

Please keep Latte in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate the days ahead. If you would like to help with her ongoing veterinary care, donations of any size are deeply appreciated and make a direct difference for horses like Latte who need every chance to thrive.
