If you own a business that relies on staff, this post is for you ⬇️⬇️

Your job as a business owner is to create an environment your employees can thrive in.

Whether we like it or not, employees carry a HUGE load for a business. Without them, things don’t run the way they need to. I’ve personally been made to feel like I was just a number—replaceable, unimportant, easy to swap out.

And here’s the truth:
If you treat employees like they’re replaceable… you will be replacing them.

Over and over again.

I understand—business owners need to make money. You started your business to succeed, not to barely get by. But part of being successful is making people want to work for you.

There are times I make $0 on a job.
There are times I actually lose money on a job.
And sometimes I willingly take that hit because I care about making sure my employees have work and feel supported.

And honestly? That matters.

Because success isn’t just about money hitting your bank account.

Success looks like:
✨ Great customer service
✨ Employees who feel valued and enjoy what they do
✨ Bonuses when you can give them
✨ Creating work opportunities—even when margins are tight
✨ INCENTIVES—yes, incentives

You want employees to feel appreciated.
You want them proud to work for you.
You want them to stay.

My grandfather worked in a time when employees were offered healthcare, retirement, bonuses—companies understood that if you valued your people, your people valued the company.

Somewhere along the way a lot of businesses lost that.

But here’s what I believe:
Treat your employees right.
Respect them.
Support them.
Sometimes absorb the loss.
Build a workplace people are proud to be part of.

Because the customer you barely broke even on—but treated with excellent service—may send you ten more customers.

And the employee you choose to value?
They’ll work hard, care about your business, and help build something bigger than money.

Employees aren’t owned.
They aren’t disposable.
They aren’t “just help.”

Treat people like they matter—and watch what happens.

Hello Latrobeans!! I would like to introduce myself to you! My name is Tracy Ridilla and I am 48 years old, married to my wonderful husband of 8 years, Clifford (Buzz) Ridilla Jr and a lifelong resident of Latrobe. I am the newest member of Alpha Omega Dog Service, owned by Gina Swank, in which we provide services such as dog walking and pet sitting as well as various other services. I am a fur baby momma to 2 Doberman pinchers, Ava and Lexi, whom are sisters. They will be 7 years old in June. I am excited to start this new journey and reach out to my community to offer our services. If you are looking for a dog walker, wether it be short term or long term, or you need a pet sitter while you go on vacation, please reach out to Gina at 724-961-4272 and we work together to get you set up for a “Meet and Greet” so we can discuss each others and your pets expectations. Hello my dear clients! I am so very grateful for all of you. I’m creating this post today to just inform everyone with the rising prices of everything Alpha Omega Dog Service will unfortunately be raising their prices on services. On your March invoice you will receive a notice of the change and price changes will be in affect April 1. I hope this isn’t an inconvenience but I try to supply gas cards to team and in light of some other expenses we are forced to be put in this position. You will not receive anything crazy $1-5 adjustment to cover the inflation. I have only ever raised my prices one time in over six years. Hope this finds you well and we can continue serving you. 🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺

Be kinds ~ Starbucks has slowly increased the price of coffee and you still go back for your “regular”.
