Sprig the 6 month old Bengal kitten came in for her first visit with us today! She was curious about everything and in typical Bengal fashion, the worst part of her visit was having to sit still for her exam. It’s safe to say we are all smitten with this kitten 🥰😻

Meet Orange! Orange came to see us a couple weeks ago for lack of appetite, lethargy, and weight loss. On her bloodwork it was noted that her liver values were significantly elevated and consistent with hepatic lipidosis. While more commonly seen in overweight cats who stop eating, hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) can be seen in any cat who stops eating for a few days.
Dr. Jen placed a feeding tube and within only a couple days of medications and feedings through the feeding tube by her amazing owners, Orange was back to eating on her own so her feeding tube was removed. Her recheck bloodwork this week looked great, her feeding tube site was completely healed, she is still eating very well, and she had gained a little over a pound!! We are all thrilled that Orange is healthy again, and while we all love her, we hope we don’t need to see her again until her wellness annual exam next year!!
