Wow, it has been a busy spring but we've been having lots of fun running dogs competitively. We ran in 6 trials across 4 states and we're very proud of our dogs. Bert is our puppy/derby dog and the star of the spring placing in every event other than 1. We ran on some new grounds we have never been to before and had a good time meeting new people. The highlight of the spring hands down was our north dakota trip to the sheyenne national grasslands! Courtney ran Trudee and Snowman (Kenny P) in the Grand Open Limited stake and both dogs made the hour but didn't receive a placement. This was the first time Courtney handled her dogs in an hour stake and she did a really nice job getting them around. The rest of that trip went pretty good for her as she placed every dog she ran. The courses that the Wisconsin Wirehaired Pointer Club put together were a ton of fun and very challenging just to ride, let alone handle a dog.
