Hey Friends let’s talk about dogs.. duh 😆
More specifically my own problem fur-child, a personal experience, and who to call when you just need some help…
👏👏FIRST AND FOREMOST this is a HUGE shoutout to Hank with Northstar Family K9, if training has even crossed your mind at some point… give Hank a call. Most people underestimate how much a little training can elevate their day to day life with their pet.
📢📢Now enter: Nashville, the reason I can say first hand that Hank is a genius. About a year ago I had adopted a dog I knew very well but unfortunately he had not ever heard the word ‘no’ or had any boundaries and when he did he took it as a challenge. This starts to get pretty scary when it’s a 70+ pound dog we’re talking about. On top of this he also struggled with recall, leash skills and confidence(love my dog to DEATH but he was a bit of a hot mess) At my Witt’s end I reached out to Hank. He came right in and quickly and easily assessed our situation and came up with a game plan. From that first session I knew I would be leaving with a different dog. A calmer dog. A dog who was beginning to understand and take guidance. Three weeks later I have a confident, secure dog with strong recall, leash skills and daily obedience. I now get to enjoy taking him on outings instead of leaving him behind or worrying the entire time. I never thought I’d NOT be the girl getting dragged down the sidewalk but Nashville now gets COMPLIMENTS (🤯) on his behavior when we’re out.
💓OBVIOUSLY we all love our dogs to the moon and back but I’m sure there are a few of you (myself included) who have just a few.. pet peeves about our dogs.
🐶Maybe they jump on friends and family when they visit
🐶Maybe they bark at strangers on walks
🐶Maybe they try to rip your arm off if a squirrel dares to cross their path
🐶Or maybe you are on the way home with that brand new fluffy bundle of puppy breath and shark teeth and just want to make sure you’re setting them up for success
