Elkins Bully Farm NPR

Our farm is solely dedicated to raising American Bullies. My husband and I both grew up with American Bullies as pets. Our first male that we ever bred was named Blaze. We got him from KPN Bullies out of Romania. He was flown over and even had to have a passport and get cleared through customs. He was the most loyal and loving soul that ever walked this earth. He was bred one time. He lived to be

five years old. He got sick and even with very quick vet intervention it lead to kidney failure. After the loss of Blaze we decided we wanted to do more. Ultimately our goal was to do our part in improving the breed of bullies. We all took his loss very very hard especially our children. We contacted the kennel in Romania and decided on getting another male when we were all emotionally ready. Some time went by and we decided to get another male dog who we named Maximus. While we were waiting on the transport process to begin we found a female from the same kennel different litter. She (Leia) was gorgeous and we decided to get her as well. It took a couple of weeks for everything to be finalized. When purchasing from another country the dogs must be fully vetted treated for parasites and get passports for travel. FINALLYYY our newest family members were set to fly to the United States. They were flown into the airport in Miami Florida. We were there to pick them up and bring them to their forever home!!!! Immediately we fell in love. Maximus was so happy and playful Leia was as well. They were the missing piece to our family. They didn't replace Blaze but they did help heal our hearts from such a loss. The next day we took them to our vet and had them checked out. All labs were great! Our new babies were healthy and ready to live their best life! That's exactly what they do now. They are both very loved spoiled and pretty much run this place. Once they were both old enough and mature we wanted to breed them. We used Silverthorn Animal Clinic to make this breeding go as smooth and safe as possible. All genetic testing and labs we done. Our vet clinic monitored Leia and did the breeding when the time was right. We waited 38 long days to have her checked to confirm her pregnancy!! The results were she was definitely pregnant. The vet was able to see approximately 5 pups but advised us it was too early to know how many there were for sure. When we made it to the last week of the pregnancy we took her back for an xray to determine how many the sizes of the heads etc.. (to make sure she could safely deliver). We were then told she had at least 8!!! We had to monitor her daily towards the end. We were all excited knowing that any day we would have a beautiful litter of puppies!!! On the final day our vet completed a c-section and safely took her puppies. To our surprise we now have TEN beautiful puppies!!!! All were healthy and Leia did great!!!!!! The puppies are all so different as far as colors but beautiful is an understatement!!! We are so proud of each and every one of them. Our hope is that all of the puppies go to a safe and loving family that is their forever home. We sincerely hope that they fill the hearts of their owners/ family and bring as much joy to their family as ours have to us. We have raised them all around our children and other dogs. They have been socialized and loved on every single day. They will come with health certificates and ABKC registered. Pedigrees available upon request.
