Let me introduce you to the Boxer.

Boxer dogs were originally used as working dogs for hunting and guarding in Germany, and their name may come from their tendency to use their front paws to "box" during play. They have a rich history as military and police dogs and are now popular family pets known for their playful and protective nature. Boxers have an incredible sense of smell, are very athletic, and hold a world record for the longest dog tongue, which measures 17 inches.

This week it's the Mastiff.

Mastiffs are large, gentle, and loyal dogs with an ancient history, which includes serving as war dogs and participating in Roman arenas. Despite their immense size, they are surprisingly low-energy and can be surprisingly well-suited for apartment living, although they do drool and may snore loudly.

This week we celebrate the Frenchie.

Did you know French bulldogs are not from France but originated in England, where lace workers developed them as lapdogs to bring to France. These sensitive and talkative dogs are popular, often described as "frog dogs" because of their unique sleeping pose, and are famous for having to be bred through artificial insemination. Due to their short snouts, French Bulldogs are terrible swimmers and not built for hot weather, and they are also known to be gassy and prone to snoring.
