***HCPRC Update- Final Plea Deadline March 25th 5pm (Not Foster Eligible! Adoption or Rescue only!)
Pandora is a 1-year-old, 7-pound neutered cat who was surrendered due to an eviction. Requesting final plea for Pandora due to being under socialized, handling issues and high levels of stress in the shelter environment. Pandora has not allowed any handling since arriving to the shelter. Shelter staff have tried to work with her to help her decompress but any interactions make her more stress and forward. Pandora is quick to show signs of being uncomfortable and stress, hissing and swatting with any interactions or attempts. PRC does not have the proper environment to work with Pandora and her under socialized and defensive behaviors. If no commitment by deadline, humane euthanasia will be authorized.
Medical with memos attached.

Plea from HCPRC:
Pandora is a 1-year-old, 7-pound neutered cat who was surrendered due to an eviction, and he’s now in need of a second chance. This gentle soul may be a little nervous and scared right now, but with time, patience, and love, he has the potential to blossom into the affectionate companion he is meant to be.
Pandora is currently showing signs of Fearful/Aggressive Syndrome (FAS), which is understandable after the traumatic experience of being surrendered along with 32 other cats. His initial response has been hissing and swatting—typical reactions for a cat who feels scared and overwhelmed in an unfamiliar environment. Despite this, Pandora has shown small moments of trust, taking treats from staff, and even enjoying Churu on a popsicle stick. These signs of progress show that with the right environment and the patience of a loving adopter, Pandora can overcome his fears and learn to trust again.
Pandora and his friends need urgent help. A total of 33 cats were surrendered, and they all need loving homes. If you can open your heart to Pandora, you’ll be offering him a chance to experience a life filled with love and security.
