My name is MJ. I’m a dog trainer and petsitter. I also do petsitting as I enjoy it, and love meeting new people and pets! A dog with guidance is a happy dog.

While I’m not a professional trainer yet, I can teach basic obedience, and my goal is to specialize in behavioral issues one day. I'm Mallory, I'm a 23 year old aspiring dog trainer. 4 years ago, I adopted a pup named Nova Scotia, and together we started learning to train together. er CGC, CGC-A, CGC-U, and we plan on competing for trick titles as well! I am NOT a professional trainer, though I will be one day. I have worked with a professional trainer and continue to learn from her. Thanks to her, I have become more confident in my ability to train. I cannot do CGC testing, but I can teach it, and if you want that certification, I will happily direct you to Theresa Swift (Valentine Kennel) to test those items. You would not have to go through classes with her in order to test, you would just have to set up a testing date with her.

Littermates Poppy and Shelby started their training journey along with their mom, Sarah!!

They’re doing so well after just one class, and they’re super fast learners! I’m excited to see how far they go!!! 💖

I got the honor of watching and caring for these two cuties last week.

Bert is a 10 year old St Bernard and Shepherd mix, and I’m not sure how old Benny is, but she has a bobtail lol. They’re both very vocal and lovable!!

Bert would let me know when it was time for meals (although he acted like he was starving), and Benny liked to knock my phone and glasses off of the beside table at night 🤣

11/10 would watch again!!

Been a bit, but Brutus passed his CGCA and CGU last month! One step closer to being a therapy dog!! Proud of him

Brutus had a very good day training! We worked on his downstay, as he wants to meet anyone and everyone. Self-control and impulse control is what he needs to work on the most. And he’s doing great!!! 💖

He stayed down for 3 minutes. The time he needs to pass his public access testing. His reward was being loved on by these lovely ladies! And he was in heaven lol

Does your pup need some training? Is he rowdy and struggle to listen to commands? Here at NSP, we strive to guide both owners and pups with obedience! Training has a variety of benefits including: Developing a closer bond with your pup, learning how to better communicate, and science shows that dogs are much happier and less stressed when they’re trained.

I want to note that I am not a professional trainer, yet, but have worked with a professional. I cannot do CGC testing, but I can train basic obedience.
