A baby monitor is meant to bring peace of mind. But for one family, it captured something extraordinary.

Days after bringing home their newborn daughter, their golden retriever—who had just given birth to her own litter—nudged down the gate, gently carried one of her puppies, and walked into the nursery.

On the screen, the parents watched as she placed the tiny pup beside the crib… then curled up nearby as if to say, “Now you have a friend.” Moments later, the baby and puppy were fast asleep, breathing in perfect rhythm.
