Help save gorillas – recycle your old electronics! 🦍♻️📱

Join our Gorillas on the Line campaign and make a real impact for wild gorillas and their habitats by donating old cell phones and small electronics: bit.ly/49jYWk7

📅 Cell Phone Saturdays return starting May 30 (10 AM – 2 PM)!
Bring your old devices to the recycling box near the gorilla habitat and receive a special keepsake from our gorillas as a thank-you.

🦍 Enjoy keeper chats, fun activities, and learn more about our incredible troop! Each chat includes exclusive trading cards featuring a different gorilla - collect them all while supplies last.

🌍 Why it matters:
Many electronics contain coltan, a mineral used in device production. About 80% of the world’s supply comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, home to endangered gorillas. Mining can contribute to habitat loss, and recycling old electronics helps recover materials and support conservation efforts that protect gorilla habitats.

Keeper Rayna spotted our alpacas Tesoro and Alberto chasing a butterfly, and it might be the cutest thing you’ll see today! 🦙 🦋

Double the cuteness! Our golden lion tamarin parents, Ipa and Picante, welcomed twins on March 24. Meet Colby, a female with darker fur around her face, and Jack, a male with a lighter orange face.

These little ones are already growing fast and being cared for by the whole family. They’ve even started venturing off on their own to explore their habitat and recently tried their very first food: worms! So far, Jack seems to be the more adventurous twin, spending extra time exploring and even participating in his very first scale training session where keepers got his first official weight.

Be sure to keep an eye out for these tiny explorers during your next Zoo visit!
