Each is a special pet waiting for a caring, responsible, permanent home. All our residents are provided with the best veterinary care possible in a shelter setting. Routine care includes:
- Standard distemper combination
- Rabies inoculations for bo

th dogs and cats
- Preventative worming and treatment for other parasites
- Feline leukemia testing for cats
- Heart worm testing and treatment for dogs and all dogs are micro chipped

Larry, Bodhi and friends have a request! We are in the thick of kitten season with more to come, and our food supplies are dwindling! With so many mouths to feed AWS is especially reliant on donations from the community. If you're able to, please consider donating cat food (wet and dry), and kitten food (wet and dry) to help us provide optimal care for our residents!

Kittens Available for Adoption Vary. All kittens are spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current on age-appropriate vaccines and tested for feline leukemia.
Kitten's pictures may not be the ones available.

If interested in adopting, go to our website aws-shelter.org for an application. Once approved we'll schedule an appointment to meet kittens that are available. Adoption Fee for Kittens under a year is $250.

Meet Cheddar!

Cheddar is your classic orange cat- vocal, affectionate and opinionated! He came to us after being found as a stray by a local neighborhood and has settled right into shelter life. He enjoys spending time with staff and volunteers, but can be picky with other cats. Cheddar is a fun guy, and will certainly bring life and joy into his forever home!
