In home training, virtual lessons, public meet ups and on site training in New Milford PA! The Zen Way is a state of being. Calm. Centered. Being in the now. I bring this to you in a form of instructions that breaks down the science and understanding of dogs. I take training to an entire new level! Each dog is different so classes will vary depending on your situation. Looking for classes as a new

puppy parent? Brining home a new puppy is fun and also very overwhelming. I help make things easier by helping you shop for the best stuff, we work hands on together to build a long lasting bond with you, the family, and your new pet. There are several training packages available.


• Basic Obedience is 4 one hour sessions. You will learn to build listening skills, attention skills, impulse control, leash walking, recall and off leash training and much more. These classes typically run once a week for one hour each session. $450

• Advanced training is 4 one hour sessions learning how to put all your skills together. Master the art of loose leash walking and heel, supervised separation, and much more for $450. In advanced training you will also have the option to meet in dog approved public places!

Happy Saturday

I stole this photo from my best friends dog Casey. I spent some time at their lovely home last night. Haven’t gotten to see Casey since a pup I was excited to see him! What a great dog that has a great family!

Hammer had a lesson on place and kennel training today. We also talked about incorporating play into his training. Making the game fun; layering in some structure; and pausing on place to regulate and move from “on” to “off” flawlessly. I’m impressed with their work! Awesome job today hammer and his mamma!

Off to an in home lesson soon!

Then I’ll be performing in scranton 222 Wyoming ave 6pm-8pm at Black Cow Creamery! It’s a hot one! Stop in for a sweet treat and live music! I’ll even answer dog training questions in between songs!

UCA Dog Trainer tip:
🐾 Heat Stroke Prevention Tips 🐾

Most people know about getting their pup some water and into a shady spot but did you know wetting your dog’s paws and belly can help cool them more effectively than soaking their back?

💦💦Giving water:
Do NOT give them ice cold water! Give tepid water with some ice cubes in it.

Other ways to help your dog cool off:
🦴Kiddie pool with their favorite toys
🦴Cooling mat or cooling collar
🦴Fan in front of their favorite spot to relax
🦴Frozen kefir or bone broth pupcicles
🦴 Take them swimming but be sure rinse them off to prevent irritation from chemicals or salt (depending on where you swim)

Don’t miss out on some fun opportunities to swap physical exercise and work their brain! Scent games or (inside the house) training sessions are great!
Or a treadmill (ask if you’d like tips on treadmill training!(

🚨‼️Watch for unrelenting heavy panting, slower than normal walking or lots of laying down, struggling to pay attention. Go to the ER if your dog appears “drunk” with a staggering walk or any symptoms above.This is an emergency!!🚨

Also; we’ve graduated to having them relax with doors open. They have shown they can handle that extra bit of freedom. They can choose the floor or kennel. They both always end up choosing their kennels at this time of day. (7pm).

One final good rest for my body tonight and back to a full schedule this weekend and I can’t wait!! Happy almost Friday!

Sorry I have been silent for a few days. Been dealing with some health related issues. I’m on the mend and I’m also taking the steps to ensure a brighter and longer future. I can sit here playing victim all I want but it’s up to me if I want to make / see a change. So here goes nothing.

Here’s a photo from Reeny last night. She went from feeling to trapped on a 6 ft leash to enjoying a walk with her handler on a 15ft leash. (Give or take as I attached two together). Something to bridge the gap as we work on the underlining issue; her anxiety. Overall a great session. Mom was kind enough to come to me for our class to minimize my driving since I’m still not 100%. So; huge props for that. I will be making a trip to her house next week to address any further concerns at the home. Reeny does typically better here with the two handlers helping her (with my guidance teaching mom) than when they are home. So; that is where we really need to put the work in.

Limiting my availability bc I’ll be making doctor appointments coming in July. But still taking clients until I feel I am at my limit. Thank you!!

☺️ Been a hell of a week but I am hopeful. Heading out to walk my dogs. 🐶
