The Williams Stable Horse Camp
Our program not only develops riding skills, but also enhances self-confidence, responsibility and horsemanship skills. Each child will learn to feed, groom, and care for his/her "own" horse, which include the safety of himself/herself, as well as the horse. Also, enjoys trail rides and lessons every day.
At the Williams Stable our man focus is to develop a strong connection between the rider and the horse. By the end of camp, it is our goal to have each rider familiar with the different aspects of the horse, safety, history, bonded with their assigned horse, and become educated more about teamwork and the breathtaking world of horses.
Riders/ Campers will spend about 2 hours each day on each objective, that include learning different aspects of their assign horse who they will bond and work with intensively.
During their first day, campers first learn the rules of the Williams Stable regarding each event. Throughout the week campers will develop skills that will transition them into another phase for future camps. They will also earn badge(s) that will transition them into another phase, as well as develop motivation skills. As they communication with their assigned horse and instructor; to improve their motivation and self-esteem skills, as well as to gain knowledge about horses. This allows for the camper to set and achieve constant goals. This is a process that will assist in the development of the camper basing their success on their own improvement rather than comparing themselves against another camper. This aspect encourages a safety and healthy environment for all involved at the Williams Stable.
The Camp runs 6 a.m. 6 p.m. Monday through Friday Rain or Shine. The Camp is open to riders age six and older. However, consideration will be considered for younger, but at an additional cost of $25.00.
