Stray Animal Fund Endeavor (501-C3)

The Wolf River Veterinary Clinic maintains a fund that is based on private donations for the care of stray animals that need homes. These funds off-set the cost of caring for sick and injured animals, spaying, neutering, vaccinations and then caring for them until they can be placed in an appropriate home. While we cannot function like a humane society, we try

to the best of our abilities to give every animal a chance at life. All adoptions include-
*Spaying/Neutering
*Felv/fiv testing (cats)
*Heartworm testing
*Tick born disease testing
*Deworming
*1st Year vaccines
*Microchipping
*Flea treatment & Heartworm preventative (during their stay with us)

Donations are welcome by cash, check, or items you feel the pets may need. (At this time we are not set up for credit or debit donations)

-Paper Towels
-Kong Dog toys of varying sizes
-Cat Toys
-Collars/ Harnesses
-Litter

Hi my name is Klaus and I am a 10-month-old, male German Shepherd, looking for my new home! I was picked up as a ‘stray’ (whatever that means!) on the side of the road by a nice man in a shiny car with blue and red flashy lights, what a fun ride we had! I am currently living at a veterinary clinic where they are taking care of me while I look for a new home. They have me all vaccinated, neutered, and ready to go. I do not like it at the clinic very much and am stressed here in the kennels with all the other animals so am hoping to bust out really soon. My doctor and the staff think I will do best in a home with very active humans with no kids, or older children who are respectful of me. I am full of energy and love to walk and play. I have already learned well with a leash and do not pull on walks; I am more interested in having my nose to the ground getting all those good sniffs. So far, I love all people I meet including adults and some children. I am very smart and have learned sit, stay, touch, and some basic commands; but I am very excited and jump on people sometimes. I am highly food motivated and with the right training I will be a wonderful companion for the right family. I am dog selective in who I meet so we would have to go really slow. I have made a few friends with little dogs at work; but I bark at and am scared by other big dogs if we get close. I will need training but am very smart and learning a lot quickly between all my kennel stress. A nice trainer already helped me learn some new skills, and my adoption will come with a sponsored package to see this trainer (in Oshkosh, WI) with my new family a few times so I can learn with you! Please call the people watching me and help me break out of this place for a foster home or to see if you will permanently adopt me. Thanks, KLAUS!
If you know of anyone wanting to foster or adopt, please call Wolf River Veterinary Clinic at 920 982 2733 and ask about Klaus!

We also still have Vixen, Blitzen, Apollo, Scooby and a small clowder of cats for adoption !!

Blitzen & Vixen are still waiting to get adopted! They are in a foster home and are perfect house guests. When we take in strays, we don't know what they're previous history is. We don't know if they do well with other dogs, cats or children. Fostering them in a family setting allows us to see how they do in all these situations. So far, they both do great with other dogs, not sure about cats as there are no cats in their foster home and they love children! They were exposed to a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old over Christmas. They were perfect and so gentle with the kids. These 2 are truly gems and anyone would be lucky to add them to their family! They must be adopted together as they are very bonded. Call Wolf River Veterinary Clinic if interested in meeting them! 920-982-2733.

Blitzen (black and white) & Vixen (brown and black) are a BONDED pair that need to be adopted together. They came to SAFE as strays who were running together. They are already altered. They had an amazing weekend in a house away from their kennel at WRVC. They did great! They are both so sweet and gentle. They like other dogs and people. Blitzen's favorite part of his stay was finding himself cuddled up on the couch with the human and her sleepy dog. Vixen loved playing with the humans' younger pup and she also loved cuddling just as much as Blitzen did. So, they both are house trained, have excellent manners, and were respectful of their doggy friends.
Blitzen & Vixen would need to stay together, as they love each other very much and get comfort from each other. They are ready to be adopted and would love to spend Christmas in their new forever home! Please call Wolf River Veterinary Clinic for more info at 920-982-2733.

We have 5 homeless kittens who desperately need to find a forever home before the holidays are upon us!
JACK & SALLY are littermates. They are 3.5 mos old and have been in our S.A.F.E. program since they were a few wks old. They are very sweet and like to be cuddled.

FOXGLOVE, BELLADONNA & WOLFSBANE are also 3.5 mos old. They're a separate litter from Jack & Sally. They are very sweet, silly, and big purr babies that like cuddling.

These kittens were all bottle fed and hand raised by S.A.F.E. volunteers who
work at Wolf River Veterinary Clinic. They are well-socialized with adults & children, and even dogs! They have been in a kennel their whole 3.5 months and they deserve to be free to live with someone who will love them forever. Please come and meet these awesome kittens at Wolf River Veterinary Clinic any time during our normal business hours. If you'd like to apply to adopt a kitten, you can go to www.wolfriverveterinaryclinic.com to find the S.A.F.E. adoption application fill it out and email it to us at [email protected]!
