A little late by a few months but we have some exciting news!

Some days in this horse world remind you exactly why we do it. Huge congratulations to Mercedes on purchasing ROCK-A-BYE MISSY “Brenda” from us here at BC Performance Horses.

Brenda is the kind of mare people dream about owning — a true sorting, cutting, and all-around cow horse with the mind, talent, and heart to take someone a long way. Being an own daughter of Rock W makes her even more special, and for Mercedes to be able to purchase a horse of this caliber at just 16 years old is honestly incredible.

More than anything, we hope this shows younger riders and kids chasing their goals that hard work really does pay off. Mercedes has put in the time, the effort, and the dedication, and now she gets the opportunity to continue growing with an amazing partner beside her.

We are beyond proud of her and so excited to watch these two build their future together. We know this is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to cheer them on every step of the way — from the practice pen to the sorting gate and everywhere in between.

Congratulations, Mercedes & Brenda. The future is bright for you two. 🤍🐴

✨ Consignment Filly Available at BC Performance Horses ✨

IMA BLUE RIVER COLONEL
(“River”)

2-year-old, 6-panel negative, Appaloosa registered filly.

This girl is currently here at BC Performance Horses for 60 days of training and will be offered for sale. She would make a phenomenal broodmare prospect or riding horse with a bright future ahead of her.

River is a little more on the hesitant side at first and can sometimes be a bit harder to catch, but once she gets to know you, she comes around very well and has been a pleasure to work with. Once caught, she is completely fine and continues to improve with consistency and handling.

We have been super happy with her and truly think she’s going to excel in the right program or make a wonderful mom down the road. She is always welcome to stay in training with us if the buyer would like to continue her program after purchase.

At BC Performance Horses, we take a lot of pride in the care, condition, and feeding program behind every horse in our barn.

Dakota came to us from a sale thin, underweight, and dull coated. With consistency, quality feed, proper care, and time, the transformation speaks for itself.

One thing we stand by is that every horse here gets the same level of care and attention, no matter whose name is on the halter. We believe good nutrition and proper management make all the difference — and Dakota is living proof of that.

The proof is in the pudding.

Today we celebrate one of the biggest parts of BC Performance Horses and someone who has helped make BC what it is today. ❤️

Bree is the hands behind the training, the one putting time on the horses, working through the tough ones, celebrating the small wins, and continuing to show up for the horses day after day. From riding colts to climbing on the ones that like to buck, she’s always willing to put in the effort it takes to help horses progress. 💪🔥

Anyone who knows Bree knows she has a huge heart, a love for good horses, and a personality that keeps things entertaining around the barn. 😂❤️
