No sooner than I get back I look out and see this. We just spent 4 hard days on the trail. Dude should be wore out and he is. That don't stop the heart though. This dog really is a fu***ng machine. This is the heart I'm after and want every pup in every litter to have. Clifford you are on your way to being one of the greats.

Little over a month to go!!! We all can't wait!!! Dogs still got it even without collars. I ran em without for a while. I forgot what it's like almost. I enjoy and miss having to listen and keep up. I'm going to start keeping my hand held in my pack until I absolutely need it.

This is why I choose a female over a male. The love I feel for this dog I'm sure is felt on her end as well. This dog really tested me. Countless trips to the pound cause no chain or pen could hold her. Her recall as a pup was non existent. Just look at you and keep going. I've had to get her out of several hollow trees fighting c***s. She was a freaking menace. Now she's got a few years on her I feel for her just as much as her mother. She is just a hell of a tree dog fast and as gritty as they come. Looking forward to the couple females growing up this time. As I sit here enjoying the mountain air. I ponder what this next generation of pups has in store for me. Hopefully by the time I die I've got a line that's tailored to the west and is as revered as the kemmer line. These dogs deserve a place in the West right along these cold nosed hounds.

I think I'm gonna have to keep the boy brindle. Zakiya is really particular about him. He seems pretty content being her little pal. Dude follows her everywhere. So now besides eating constantly and sleeping. Dude will eat and eat and eat. Now he follows her pretty faithfully.

6 weeks today. Pretty much weaned and on dry food.

This pretty lil lady kept me company tonight. They trailed one for a ways. Took him up the canyon bout 1000 ft. Came back down then back up. We seen something cross the road in front of us. They worked it down in the creek for a while. Then the lil one was getting tired so I called them back. I wonder if it was a cat or not. Oh well good exercise for the dogs. And any night one of the kids asks to go is a blessing for me. It's what I love more than anything is taking them outdoors for anything. Whether it's hunting fishing camping or just a hike.
