Sylvan and Ziggy have been adopted together 🎉
We are SO happy for these besties!!!

Have not had anybody inquire about them yet…they are both cute as can be but they are not social butterfly’s🦋 so they tend to be overlooked. They LOVE each other and can most often be found snuggling inside/behind a bench at The Black Cat Market. Both of these handsome boys were brought to us by the same amazing community partner. Ziggy was on deaths door and extremely underweight. He was at Frankie’s for months while we fought to get him healthy. It’s a HARD life of the streets and we are SO very thankful he pulled through! He’s more than doubled his weight and he and Sylvan are officially good to go with clean bills of health ❤️
While they are shy they DO love getting loved on and pet…we think they will really blossom in a calmer home and come out of their shells 🐚 🐢
The cherry 🍒 on top??! An amazing previous adopter and her equally awesome mom fell In love with them and sponsored BOTH of their adoption fees. All that’s left now is for someone to go visit them at the Black Cat Market, fall in love and then email Frankie’s!

⭐️ Announcement!!! ~ We will be closed June 26th through July 6th!! We will be back open on Monday July 7th. We will however not be relaxing and catching up on our cat naps! Most of our team will be doing a mission trip in Puerto Rico! We will be spaying and neutering 400 cats and dogs! We hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙

Have we told you lately that we love you 😬?
Well we do so MeOwY much! Your gracious donations truly make a world of difference and allow us to continue to say yes and to help cats that truly need us. Most often these are cats that do not have an “owner”….cats that humans have failed…cats that are fighting for their lives and that also means that there isn’t anybody to pay their bill…but us. Sooo the point is we have a lot of cats under our care and we are desperately in need of a few different items 🫣
If anyone is willing to donate we would be SO appreciative 🫶
What we mostly need at this exact moment is Purina cat chow (the blue bag)
some clumping cat litter for the cats that refuse our paper pellet litter(we will always happily take that as well but we aren’t stuggling yet)
And 9 lives wet kitten food(we have a lot of dry kitten food ❤️so we don’t need that)
This can be purchased wherever and even dropped off in our entry at 730 5th Ave. New Kensington, Pa 15068 or mailed to us 🥰

Meet Blaze 🔥 and Butter’s 🧈! These 2 cuties were brought into us as tiny bottle babies with another sibling by an amazing community partner. Bottle babies are to be honest…exhausting and stressful but our Clinic manager, Kelly, agreed to take over their care…this means countless days of waking up at all hours of the night. Despite having the best care we were not able to save the 3rd one…another reason why we advocate so hard for spaying and neutering! We are however happy to report that In a few weeks this duo will be available for adoption. Blaze is a growing lil chunky monkey and he’s a boy…he’s almost double the size of sibling and sister, Butter’s. They are thick as thrives and we want them to get adopted together because we truly believe they need each other and deserve that. Not only are they ridiculously cute but they are also SO lovey!! Extremely important cuddle sesh with Story after a long work day 🖤🤍
It’s exhausting causing so much chaos(Story…not the employee…she’s a delight 😉)

Story’s to do list 📋 today consisted of (in no particular order)

~ Pooping 💩 in the corner of the room

~ Looking dapper(It’s not easy work)

~ attempting to Instigate( 2 many victims to name…you can take the cat off the streets but you can’t take the street off the cat 😆)

~ purrfecting bamboozling and cuddling skills

So we thought Paris (brown tabby) was bonded with Bambi for a hot minute but it’s since been determined that Paris just needs a friend in general. Shoester snuggled right up with him and Paris purred SO loudly! We have quite a few shy but VERY deserving sweet souls available for adoption at The Black Cat Market! Please consider a shy baby…they are often overlooked and honestly usually end up warming up to their owners and being the most lovable cats ever!!
