Rangerwoods Emi JH!! Emi finished her Junior Hunter title yesterday at the Madison Retriever Club Hunt Test. She did awesome and has come a long way in the year she has been a Rangerwood dog. We love her so much. She has a gentle soul.

Rangerwoods Kohlburn of Duke passed his first Junior test yesterday. Kohl is owned by Robert and Trisha Enders. Kohl was very composed in the holding blinds and at the line and he ran flawlessly. He will finish his junior tests next spring. He heads home tomorrow to begin his first hunting season.

Rangerwoods Fast Flying Coot JH. Coot finished off her Junior title passing 2 tests Sunday morning at the Manitowoc Kennel Club hunt test. Coot is the daughter of our BDC Hall of Fame Dog, Drake and DM’s BDC National Champion, Jazz. Coot was a bit crazy in the waiting area before her turn to run but once at the line she was all business with precise marks and perfect delivery to hand.

Rangerwoods Emi also got 2 junior passes towards her title on Sunday. Emi’s second test was a bit of an adventure as the gunners missed her flyer multiple times in the air and on the ground during her land series. I had to walk her off the line while they tried to catch the duck. We went right back up and she was still composed and ran great marks. Then on one of her water retrieves a hawk swooped down trying to grab her duck distracting her for a few seconds but she quickly got back on line and retrieved her duck. Emi will go for her title at the Madison Retriever club this coming Saturday.

I’m very proud of these 2 girls. They have come a long way this summer. Coot gaining confidence she lacked for a while. Emi over coming spending the first couple years of her life at a kennel where she received little attention. We are so happy to have this sweet girl as part of our kennel now.

Thanks to the Manitowoc Kennel Club and their workers for another great test weekend.

With hunting season just around the corner we are offering a 2 week Upland Refresher Session. Dogs will get obedience tune up, retrieving/marking tune up, work on quartering and also will get worked on live birds. Dates are 8/30/26-9/12/26. Cost is $550 which includes 9 pheasants per dog. Additional birds available if you want more shot for your dog.

Also we are planning a Puppy Boot Camp for the Dega and Tess litters or if you have a pup around that 4 month age from somewhere else. At Boot Camp we do lots of fun introductory training, getting pups around live birds, gunfire, water, decoys, dog blinds, different environments, socializing with other pups and adult dogs and many other things to help build confidence. Dates are 10/4/26 - 10/17/26. Cost is $475 and that includes live pigeons for each pup.

The girls Emi(left) and Coot(right) had a great weekend at the Island View Retriever Club hunt test. Coot got her first 2 Junior passes and Emi got 1. Emi decided yesterday she wasn’t going to pick up the the first duck of the test after running right to it, oddly something she’s never done in training but there’s a lot of distractions at a test. She came back strong today making flawless retrieves on both land and water. Coot was perfect both days and easily one of the best junior dogs this weekend with pinpoint marking and excellent delivery to hand on all her ducks. Thanks to the IVRC for putting on an excellent event and to all the judges and staff for their hard work.

Rangerwoods Magnum Kaliber JH x The Blasts Under the Radar MH. Our son, Gage decided to breed his dog Kali with Chopper. Pups due October 10 and will be ready to go home Thanksgiving weekend. This is Gage’s litter but will be backed by Rangerwood’s 26 month health guarantee. Blacks and yellows expected.
