What a day! 🌾🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House today as we celebrated the launch of our new grain bin facility! With the addition of 2 new bins, we’re now ready to store Plenish beans and shelled corn in large quantities, opening up new grain banking opportunities for our farmers.

We’re grateful to Univest Financial, Pioneer, and Groff Julius for attending and supporting us in making this event a success. Over 100 local farmers and future grain bankers came out to celebrate with us!

The highlight of the day? Definitely the dunk tank 💦—along with a delicious free lunch from M&S Catering and sweet ice cream from Lickity Split🍦.

We’re excited for the future and thankful for such a strong community around us. Here’s to another step forward in serving our farmers! 🌽

🚧 Grain Bin Storage Project Update 🌾

We’re excited to share that our grain bin storage construction is moving along smoothly and staying right on track for this harvest season!

From groundwork to steel going up, everything is coming together just as planned. This added storage will allow us to better serve our farmers with grain banking capability, and increasing efficiency where it matters most.

Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to completion—and thank you for your continued support! 🌽

Just another day of making sure the cows get fed, so we all get milk!🐮

Coltin Oberholtzer gives us a chance to take a glimpse into his world of being a feed truck driver for us! Coltin’s load can haul around 20 tons of feed each time he loads up. He can also haul up to 10 different kinds of feed at one time, thanks to the auger trucks having multiple “pockets” on board!

Did you catch our 2 brand new grain bins are up?!😍

What a day!🎉

2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣5️⃣ milkshakes were handed out to our local community member’s!

We had over 200 people come through and tour our facilities as well! Also… speaking of facility — do you see that grain bin in the background?!😍

It’s so important to us to continue to build our community’s knowledge in June Dairy Month, agriculture feed and processing, and the impact we have right here in New Holland. We try and make it evident that the generations of Sensenig’s have poured their hearts into giving back to the community!

Grateful to be able to give.
Blessed to be able to serve.
Thankful for the support of the local community.

Our Story

Leroy M. Sensenig was born July 25th, 1909, and grew up on a small farm near Blue Ball in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was one of ten children, and worked on several different farms as hired help. At the age of 19, he began working at Trupe's Feed Mill, near Terre Hill. In 1936, a friend of Leroy's father asked Leroy to manage a small mill he owned. After 9 years of experience managing a mill, Leroy decided to buy his own mill and purchased the Hinkletown Feed Mill from Earl Sauder in 1945 and "Sensenig's Feed Mill" began. In 1959, Leroy's son, Ken, began working at the feed mill after working on several farms as a boy. In 1961, Leroy's interest transitioned to restoring an old gristmill near Red Run Campground. Ken took over management at the mill at Hinkletown, and in 1969 became part of the newly formed Leroy M. Sensenig Inc. One year later, Martin's Feed Mill in Ephrata was purchased to assist with the growth at the Hinkletown Mill. A few years later, Ken's sons began working in the business with Mike in 1979, Scott in 1984, and Karl in 1987. In 1985, Sensenig's Feed Mill moved once again to New Holland, purchasing the Earl Sauder Feed Mill, which is where the mill is located today. Ken retired in 2003, and now Mike, Scott, and Karl have taken over and continued to grow Sensenig's Feed Mill. Mike's sons, Kyle and Kurt, have also started working at the mill and learning the business "Great Grandpa Leroy" started back in 1945.
