We love our puppy updates!
Hope all’s well with you and your family—just wanted to share a few updated photos of Doctor and let you know (brag on him, actually) that he earned his AKC Tricks Novice certification a little over a week ago. He even has the fancy initials after his name now too, like a medical doctor, dentist or PhD!
He loves his classes and learns things incredibly fast, plus he’s so friendly and good looking. He goes to a lot of places with me too, and I get compliments about him all the time.
He liked his Tricks I class a lot, but his favorite so far has been a four-week Basic Agility class, especially going up and down the A-frame thing and jumping over the bar. I signed him up to take the Canine Good Citizen test in early June. He’ll be a year-old then, so hopefully he’ll also be able to get his therapy dog certification soon after that and start making hospital visits. The patients will like seeing him do some of the tricks he’s learned too.
BTW, the chair he’s sitting on in one of the photos is his “petting chair,” which is in the hallway next to the kitchen. It’s strictly his chair—he knows he’ll get petted whenever he sits on it.
