🌳🐾 Mark your calendars! Sunday, September 28th is going to be a big day at Edgewood Park!

✨ Kick things off with the Edgewood Pack Run — a 5K run / 1-mile walk — meet up at 10:30 AM, start at 11 AM 🏃‍♀️🐕 We’ll also be collecting dog food & supplies for local rescues, and may even have adoptable pups at the Dog Park! There will also be fun dog activities like musical sit and other games for pups to enjoy.

✨ Then stick around for Edgewood Park Day from 1–4 PM — enjoy horse carriage rides, dog park activities, duck feeding, climbing wall, printing workshops, and much more for the whole family!

🥕🌻 And don’t forget — the Edgewood Park Farmers Market will also be happening starting at 10 AM, the perfect way to round out your day in the park.

🐶💚 Whether you’re running, strolling, or enjoying the afternoon fun, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss this special day celebrating our community and our park!

🍴 And when the festivities wind down, make it a full day out by trying one of the local spots nearby like .restaurant

Hi Edgewood Dog Park Friends! I’ve been the point person between our park and the Friends of Edgewood Park board for the past 2 years, but I’ll be moving next month and will be stepping down.

We’ve made some great progress — like securing funding to keep the dog bags stocked and hosting events with local businesses — and there’s been early conversation about potentially relocating the park to higher ground to help address flooding issues. I’d love to see someone step in to keep that momentum going!

The board meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 PM, and the rest of the role is super flexible based on your availability and interest. I’m happy to answer any questions if you’re curious about what it involves.

🌳☀️ Enjoying the warmer weather with our furry friends in the small dog area! 🐾
Heads up, there’s a fallen tree in the large dog area. We are working on getting it fixed so stay safe in the meantime, everyone! 🐶

Good morning 🌞 please be careful when taking your pups to the park 📣 We noticed the fence was cut in the small dog area & the rear gate is broken in the large dog area 😩 the next Friends of Edgewood Park meeting is next Tuesday, 9/5, so we will make sure that having these safety issues fixed is a high priority!

If you saw the FOEP newsletter this month, you may have noticed that I have stepped down from the board after moving to East Rock recently. I was very sad to leave the Edgewood/Westville area as it’s been my home since moving to Connecticut in 2014.
While I hope to still stop by the park from time to time, I’m happy to pass the torch off to .colada
She’ll be taking over socials and be the point person for all things dog park. Please feel free to reach out to her here if you’re interested in helping out or just to say hi!
