UPDATE! 💥MIRACLE is safe.💥
She found a lovely area on an Alpaca Farm where she felt safe with a creek for as a water source. Her foster mom was leaving for a short trip but felt confident if she brought her dog Emma down that Miracle would come to Emma or her. The foster mom was briefed on what to do while CTDGRV Carol watched from further back in the yard to guide her. The foster mom sat on a blanket and had a 50 ft line for Emma so she could go out further. The foster mom sat with her back to Miracle while Emma walked around. We slowly watched Miracle come out of the woods and come towards Emma. In comments is the reunion between the two besties. This was a huge effort that never would have happened without the support of so many wonderful people. Bristol and Wolcott Animal Control worked tirelessly to determine her location and paths of travel, Kim and Sandy got posters up and also were out there multiple days providing support. CTDGRV Deb and Gary brought their trap out and it was not an easy task for all to set it up and relocate it when she change her route of travel. The Alpaca farm that allowed us all on their property. Miracles new family that worked endlessly to get her safe. Community members who called in sightings and did not chase. So many people involved thank you all for helping this pup to come in safely.
Please for the safety of the dog just call the number on the flyer if see her. Chasing, calling out, or stopping in front of the dog will only frighten and place unneeded stress on the dog. This will push the dog out of known areas we are trying to set up for capture The best way to be helpful is to call with the exact location without bringing attention to the dog of your presence. Thank you for your help
Missing in Wolcott very close to the Bristol line. She is very skittish and new to the area. For the safety of the dog we ask that you call the number immediately with exact location, direction of travel and behavior. Do not call out or chase. She was last seen in Rt 69 just over the Bristol line. Please share and call with any sightings
