Hairyette the Speye needs surgery - Please help!
Part of the fun in breeding for me is seeing something I have never seen before in the breed. This year one of my pups had a small, rare ocular dermoid. Essentially in uetero a small skin cell attached itself in the wrong place, her eye ball. She is literally growing hair on her eye. At present this is not causing her any discomfort or irritation but as the hair grows it will. Hairyette the Speye needs a surgery that will cost approximately $4000 to have this removed before the hair grows enough to start causing ulcerations.
This is a business page but it's really just me and my dogs. My Shih Tzu breeding program started with two beautiful girls that are now 8yrs old and retired. Up until this morning I officially owned 9 Tzu, Hairyette now makes 10. Of my 10 dogs, only 2 girls and 1 boy are active, everyone else is retired.
I know a lot of people think breeders are unethical and raking in loads of money. This couldn't be further from the truth for me. I know a lot of breeders say they aren't like all the rest but I truly am not. My retired dogs, male and female alike, are living out their best lives here on my homestead as they should for the devotion, love and income they have provided me and my family. My pups don't leave at 8 weeks, I keep them double that time. I have learned over 30 yrs of breeding that they become such well rounded individuals learning so much from their parents, aunts and uncles which is in their best interests. The cost of raising litters this way is far greater and that's ok because I am sending out quality bred & well balanced individuals.
Unlike designer breeds the market will not support me charging what I really need. I charge the bare minimum that will get all of my dogs through the next year.
Hairyette is an amazing, spunky, sweet and outgoing little lady who I absolutely love to pieces. I hate asking for help but here I am asking because she has a need that I cant provide without help.
Thanks for reading, for your empathy and your support!
