Hello everyone! We wanted to reach out to all our grooming clients both new and returning clients.

I just wanted to drop in and remind you all of the importance of rebooking or pre-booking grooming appointments for your dogs. To ensure your pups are on a regular schedule, it is highly recommended to book for the entire year, for the next 6 months, or even for the next groom otherwise we cannot guarantee an appointment will be available! It is also helpful to request grooming needs at the time you make your boarding reservations and not at drop off. This helps us plan ahead.

We are very short staffed in our entire Kennel. Our grooming clients come from not only grooming, but also from our boarding and daycare clients as well. We can only do so many dogs in one day.

Please book ahead. It is your responsibility to make sure your dogs have appointments and it is unfair to assume we can simply move other clients around to accommodate you. We try our best, but we are only a small, family-owned and operated business. We do not have the ability to work beyond our means.

We are currently booking 2-3 weeks out depending on the grooming needs of your dogs. Calling us and screaming at myself or staff, because we can’t squeeze you in today or tomorrow, will just cause you to be taken completely out of our grooming roster. We are doing the best we can. We are a small business with a small staff and we are all working so very hard to keep up. So please be patient and kind and do your part by rebooking and pre-booking ahead of time.

While these are policies we have had from the start, we are strictly enforcing our cancellation policies. Please see our website for full details. Any no call, no show appointments will be required to pay for their appointment in full.

Zion Hill Kennel is Hiring with positions available immediately! We are looking for 2-3 new team members as well as an experienced groomer and/or a bather brusher to help with our fast growing kennel. We are willing to train the right candidates. Must love dogs and must have good work ethics.

Kennel Team Members:
-The perfect candidate would be well versed in dogs and their behavior and have worked in a kennel or boarding facility. However, we are willing to train the right person.
-Attention to details is huge. We set the standards of care for dogs at our facility very high and we expect our team to help maintain those high standards daily.
-Job includes daily monitoring of dogs during daycare, helping to exercise dogs at play (playing ball or with other toys with the dogs), cleaning up after the dogs, rotating boarding dogs out, following detailed feeding charts, administering medications, helping customers, sanitizing the kennels, cleaning and whatever else the dogs may need to provide them with the best level of care.
-Job is working outside the majority of your day in all weather.
-Full time help would be ideal. We would prefer someone who wants long term employment and to grow with our business. We are willing to accept part time help.
-Hours needed are Monday through Friday between the hours of 6am to 6pm. On rare occasions for Saturdays or Sundays.
-Immediate help needed Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4pm.
-Flexible schedule can be worked around another job, school or other obligations. Great for mothers hours.
-Must be reliable and have reliable transportation.
-Pay determined with experience. This is an hourly paid position.

Grooming requirements:
-2 year minimum grooming in a salon setting prefered, but willing to train the right person starting out.
-familiar with grooming a large variety of dogs breeds and mix breeds
-pays great attention to details
-has great customer service skills
-good time management skills
-Part time to start that can move into full time. Full time position for the right candidate can be available immediately.
Please send over resume and photos of groomed dogs. Willing to train the right person looking to become a groomer that has little to no experience. Training offered by a groomer of 20+ years.
This can be an hourly or commision based paid position.

Bather/ brusher position:
-experience perfered but willing to train
-attention to detail and kindness to the dogs is a must.
-good time management skills
-responsibility includes for washing and fluffing grooming dogs for the groomer, dremeling nails, assisting groomer with holding the dogs and assisting cleaning the grooming area.
-This can be a morning, part time position or a full time position. We can also train a bather/brusher to become a groomer if someone’s is interested.
Looking to hire immediately. This is an hourly paid position.
