Just two little therapy rats (Comet and Pluto) sharing snuggles, joy, and love through Pet Partners.

Cant go wrong with the most adorable rat whiskers.
Did you know a rats whiskers help map out their surroundings. It acts as their main sense of touch compensating for their poor eyesight.

Today Comet visited both Genesis Home of New Beginnings and Ecumenical Retirement Community.
At Genesis he curled up in his basket and sat on laps. He was such a good boy while the girls there pet him and loved on him.
At Ecumenical he was a bit antsy climbing out of his basket for pets but the enthusiasm was so sweet and he even sat on some laps for pets. Everyone there loved his curiosity and wanting to get pet. Near the end to decompress he chilled on my shoulder which he never does so I knew it was time to leave.
One thing I learned today was that Comet can't do 2 visits in one day. He was very good but it was just a bit much for him.
Normally I'd do Comet one visit and Pluto another but while Pluto is getting treated its all on Comet.
Pics of Comet at Genesis, he was too antsy for photos at Ecumenical.

Happy 1st Birthday Comet!
Im so proud of the amazing companion you've become. From my more nervous rat to doing solo visits confidently, watching you grow has been amazing. I cant wait to do many more visits with you and to continue to watch you grow into the amazing therapy animal I know you are.

Happiest belated first birthday to Pluto!!!
I can't believe you are already a year old! You have become an amazing pet therapy animal and are such a role model to your brother. Anyone who meets you loves you and you are such an amazing ambassador for all rats.

This morning Comet and I road tripped to Maryland to participate in Pet Partners World's Largest Pet Walk. We had so much fun meeting other teams (4 dog teams and 1 cat team) and Comet did so well. The weather was beautiful and it really was a perfect morning.

Due to being on vacation later this month and Pluto being on medications the boys will resume visits in October.
