ing and housing the cats, (2) financing necessary medical services at local veterinary clinics (including testing for diseases; neuter and spay surgeries; vaccinations; treatment of ticks, fleas and worms; treatment of illnesses, injuries and wounds; and humane euthanasia when necessary) (3) preparing the cats for adoption (4) locating suitable homes (5) reporting abuse and acts of cruelty to appropriate law enforcement agencies, (6) making referrals, donations and promoting local caregivers, shelters, humane societies, government agencies and veterinary clinics and (7) educating and advocating for the humane, compassionate, kind and loving care of feral and homeless cats in our community.

Donations Needed

The IRS has determined New Concord Feral Cats, Inc. is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Our donors can deduct contributions they make from their taxes. And we are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers and gifts. We are also exempt from state sales tax on purchases made by the organization.

Now that we are an official 501(c)(3), we would like to raise $3,500 for another round of FELINE NEUTER AND SPAY CONTESTS in New Concord, Muskingum County, Guernsey County, Coshocton County and Noble County. This beautiful Siamese girl is new to the café, and right now… she’s scared. 💔 She’s tucked herself away in her little cat-shaped cubby, watching the world with wide eyes, trying to feel safe.

We’re doing everything we can to help her feel comfortable, but what she really needs is a quiet, loving home. Someone patient. Someone gentle. Someone who understands that trust takes time — and that scared cats can make the most loyal companions.

Could her forever person walk through our doors tomorrow? We sure hope so. ❤️

Callie is searching for her forever home! Sometimes plans change, and now this sweet girl is ready for her second chance at finding the perfect match. 🐾

This little 2-year-old beauty has had to deal with difficult challenges—homelessness, removal of an eye, and a protein allergy. No wonder she takes time to trust people.

But once she does trust, she warms up and is friendly and playful. Among favorite toys are Ping Pong balls, bouncy foam balls, crinkly foil balls, and dangle toys. Callie has a real peacock feather she picks up at the quill end and goes in circles chasing the feathery end as though chasing her tail! So cute! She likes to curl up in a chair or a lap to nap and to come lie next to her foster after the night quiets.

Callie’s allergy requires a prescription food, which makes it tricky to share a home with other pets. She will find a way to get into other pets’ foods and then have a reaction.

A quiet, pet-free household where she can be the center of attention would be ideal. Callie is also best suited for a home without small children—she appreciates a gentle approach and the chance to warm up on her own terms.

Callie is a lovely cat once she becomes comfortable in her environment and with her person (or people). She is a little gem.
