We saved the best for last in our ‘Tis the Season for Gratitude series - our amazing, supportive, kind, big-hearted, incredibly hard-working Executive Director Sue!
“It’s so hard to say right now what I’m grateful for because it’s everything.
I found my true passion in life by building communities through agriculture and education.
I found people to work and enhance the mission that I envision, and who I’ve taken on as my family.
I’m grateful for every person who has come to experience the farm and seen the beauty and awe that it has given me. The look on their faces and watching their souls heal is my favorite part.
I’m grateful to finally give soul back to the land that the Cropsey’s once had, and I’m so grateful for the Cropsey family trusting in me and cheering me on to do exactly what they wanted with it.
I’m grateful for all of my animals. My favorite is that when they see me or hear my voice they always come running, not just because I feed them but because they love me and I love them.
I’m a grateful to watch kids, young adults and adults learn about the land, food and find peace with getting their hands dirty.
I’m grateful to have an inclusive environment of employees who fight hard to be human first.
It’s so hard to get the words together on how much this place has meant to me.”
Sue, we are ENDLESSLY grateful for you, and for the opportunities, the experiences, and all the memories you’ve created for all of us staff members and all of the community over the years. You are a gift to Rockland, and we’re so lucky to have you as our leader!
And with that friends, we end our ‘Tis the Season for Gratitude series!
Once again we’d love to hear from you - what are you grateful for about the farm? What have been your favorite memories with us?
