The Humane Society of Lawrence County PA The Lawrence County Humane Society is a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization. Our intake is based on our kennel space at that time.

Since 1953, the Lawrence County Humane Society has helped prevent cruelty to animals and provide a safe haven for lost pets and the homeless animals of Lawrence County. They are provided with a comfortable living environment, food, shelter, basic medical evaluations and care, vaccinations, SNAP testing, micro-chipping, spay/neuter procedure and most of all plenty of

LOVE. Our staff is dedicated to providing compassionate care to the animals while in their time of need until completing our ultimate goal of placing them into a new forever home. Services To The Community

*If you are looking to bring an animal (cat/dog) to LCHS please call us in advance before bringing the animal in. We do utilize a waiting list for our Cat and Dog room when we are at capacity, please call to check on our availability! Thank you!*

We run by appointment only for meet and greets. You must have an approved application prior to an appointment. If you would like specific information regarding any animal on our pet list, please call the Humane Society at (724) 654-8520 during our open hours.

SAVE THE DATE and get ready for a totally tubular fundraiser this fall! We've got a Totally Paw-some 80's night planned for November 22nd at St. Marguerite's in Mahoning town. Don't worry about ticket prices just yet, we will have that all soon, but trust us, it'll be worth it for a catered dinner by Faraone Brothers and live tunes from the most excellent band Mr. Miyagi! There will be games, prizes, and raffles, including a contest for the best 80's getup, so go ahead and dust off those parachute pants and get ready to party! We cannot wait to see you all there!

Meet Truly, the ultimate social butterfly who's about to steal the show. This GSD mix is a spayed female, around 2 years old, and is obsessed with making new BFFs - literally everyone she meets. She's a total rockstar at playing with other dogs and walking on a leash, plus she's got some ridiculously cool skills - she can sit and give paw for treats like a total boss. And those ears! We love how much character they give her! How can you say no to Truly? She's truly the best!

This adorable little ball of fluff is equal parts snuggle bug and crazy ninja. No toy is a match for his mad skills! When he isn't busy showing off his talent for parkour, he will gladly accept some well deserved pets. Just don't ask him to sit still for a photo. There are far to many suspicious mouse toys out there to bother with that. If you are looking for a fun-loving new addition, apply for Einstein!
