Stonehaus Poodles

Stonehaus Poodles Breeding and showing Standard Poodles is my Passion. I breed silver and blues with occasional white I breed blues, silvers and white standard poodles.

My name is Ellen Davis and I have owned standard poodles since 1993, showing my 1st 2 in obedience. In 2008 I started showing in conformation and then started breeding. I love the breed and enjoy raising puppies, standard poodles are my passion. Here's a little background on how I breed and raise puppies:
I believe in testing to ensure the best possible chance for of healthy dog in the future. The

parents of all litters are checked for health issues and have had the recommended testing done prior to breeding. My dogs have had Hips, thyroid, cardiac, Sebaceous Adenitis, Neonatal Encephalopathy, Degenerative Myelophathy, eyes and Von Willebrands testing done. I choose stud dogs based on temperament, health and what they will bring to the litter to improve the breed. The puppies are home raised. The whelping box starts in my bedroom then is moved to the room that we spend most of our time in. When they were ready to have outside access we move them to the dog room which is off my office where they have access to an outside fenced in area so that they are well on their way to being housebroken when they go to their forever home. Crate training starts when they are 7-8 weeks old as well. They will have many experiences prior to leaving and they are well socialized. I love hearing about the puppies from my puppy owners and enjoy bringing joy into their lives with a poodle puppy. The puppies get the wobble board for the first time. It allows them to feel an unsteady surface under their feet.
