Please help us congratulate Vickie on her last day with CAAC as she heads off to retirement! We are extremely sad to see her go but so excited for what her next chapter holds! She’s been dedicated to CAAC for 44 years!! We will miss your cheery smile, positive attitude and all the happiness you’ve brought to CAAC. Holy smokes, we can’t believe next Thursday is Independence Day! 🇺🇸🎆🎇

Our clinic will be closed in observance of the holiday, 7/4/24, and will reopen Friday, 7/5/24, for normal business hours!

Some good ideas to keep in mind this Independence Day:

1) Keep pets safe and indoors during the fireworks. Make sure all windows and doors are securely shut so they are unable to get out and run if scared.
2) If your pet is microchipped, make sure the microchip info is up to date, in case they were to get away. If not microchipped, make sure they have a collar with name tag and contact info on!
3) Make sure your pets are cool and don’t get overheated.
4) Make sure to only feed your pets safe table food and tell all family members/friends as well.
5) Make sure corncobs are properly disposed of, they can cause a blockage in dogs and require emergecy surgery if ingested!
6) If your pet is in immediate need of medical care during the holiday, we have a list of referral partners on our website countryacrevets.com under the referrals tab!
