Great advice
💔🐾They thought they were home...🐾💔
Sometimes, a dog leaves our care believing they've finally found their forever family... only to come back.
Not because they did anything wrong.
Not because they weren't loving, or sweet, or deserving.
But because proper introductions weren't followed.
We always recommend bringing resident dogs to our adoption events so they can safely meet in a controlled environment. We always recommend slow, structured introductions once home. Not to make things harder- but to set everyone up for success.
This isn't about shaming. It's about being honest.
Because when a dog comes back, they don't understand why.
They don't understand what changed.
They just know the place they thought was home...
isn't anymore.
And it takes a toll.
They come back a little quieter. A little more unsure.
Still hopeful- but carrying confusion with them. And
That's that part people don't always see.
The extra time. The Patience. The planning.
It matters more than people realize.
We are always here to guide, support, and help every step of the way-
because we don't just want adoptions.
We want lasting ones. 💗🐾
