🐾 The Nest Is Getting a Little Quieter… 🐾

This week has been bittersweet as many of our sweet babies have officially spread their wings and headed home with their new families. 🩵🤍🩶

From the day they were born, we’ve poured our hearts into raising these babies with the care, socialization, and foundation they need to thrive. Watching them leave is never easy, but seeing the excitement on their families’ faces and knowing they are heading to loving homes makes it all worthwhile.

We are incredibly grateful to each family who trusted us with such an important decision. Thank you for choosing a DHR puppy and for welcoming one of our babies into your lives. We can’t wait to watch them grow and follow along on all of their adventures!🩵🤍🩶

✨ Homage to the Stars ✨

It’s hard to believe that our Homage to the Stars babies will be 8 weeks old tomorrow and will soon begin heading off to their new homes!

This week, the puppies completed their final veterinary examination and each one received a clean bill of health. They were absolute superstars throughout their appointments, handled the car rides beautifully, and completely won over the veterinary staff with their confident, outgoing personalities.

This litter has been incredibly special from the very beginning. These beautiful black sable German Shepherd puppies have continued to impress us with their temperament, intelligence, and stunning appearance. They are fully weaned, thriving, and are currently maintaining nearly 95% accuracy with their potty/litter training, which is a testament to how quickly they have been learning and developing.

As we prepare to watch these puppies begin their next chapter, we are incredibly grateful to all of the families who have trusted us with such an important decision. Raising each litter is a labor of love, and seeing these babies grow into confident, healthy young dogs is always rewarding.

At this time, Pink Girl remains our only available baby. 🩶 Meet “Smelaya” (Pink Collar) 🩵

This beautiful little lady is continuing to impress us as she grows! She scored primarily 3s on her Volhard Aptitude Test, indicating a well-balanced, confident, and people-oriented personality.

Smelaya is a true “Velcro” baby who loves being with her people. She is social, affectionate, playful, and environmentally confident, with medium drives/energy levels that will make her both enjoyable to train and easy to live with.

Based on her evaluations so far, we believe she has the potential to excel as an active family companion, service/therapy candidate, introductory sport prospect, or show prospect.

✨ The "Homage to the Stars" babies are now 7 weeks old!! ✨ 🩵🩶🤍

We have officially completed all of our testing and evaluations!

As anticipated, these puppies received amazing results across the board. They are incredibly happy, social, confident, people oriented guys with excellent nerves. The litter tested predominantly as 3s and 4s, making them a wonderfully versatile group that should excel as active companions, sport prospects, show prospects, and in a variety of working and performance homes.

They are such thick-boned, chunky babies, and the overcast weather does absolutely no justice to their rich, beautifully dark coats and exceptional pigment!

They are napping comfortably in crates throughout the day, are nearly completely weaned at this point, and are using their litter pans with approximately 95% accuracy. It has been incredibly rewarding watching their personalities continue to emerge over the last several weeks.

We do still have a few girls looking for families of their own, and over the next few days we will know exactly who, if anyone, remains available following our matching process.

We will begin reaching out to families on the reservation list shortly to discuss final placements and suitable matches!!!

Thank you to everyone who has followed along with this special litter. We are incredibly proud of these babies and excited to begin helping them transition into the next chapter of their lives.

Today is temperament testing day, as well as our weekly photo update day for these guys!! 🤍🩵🩶

This afternoon, we will begin temperament testing and conformation evaluations. Once testing is complete, we will work through our reservation list, complete the matching process, and post updated photos of the puppies.

As our program is focused on making the best possible match for both our puppies and their future families, this process takes time and careful consideration. We appreciate your patience as we review each puppy and communicate with families to ensure thoughtful, well informed placement decisions.

We anticipate having the matching process and updated photos completed by late this evening or early tomorrow morning.

Thank you for your continued patience, support, and trust in our program. We are excited to share this next step with you and look forward to helping each family meet their future companion!

The “Homage to the Stars” litter is officially 6 weeks old!!

These babies are growing and developing beautifully every single day. They are now using their potty pans with approximately 95% accuracy, have received their first round of vaccinations along with their fourth round of deworming, and are nearly completely weaned.

Temperaments and personalities are continuing to shine as they mature. These puppies are social, confident, playful, and highly people oriented with wonderful engagement and outgoing personalities.

We are incredibly excited about how this litter is progressing and believe they will make phenomenal active companions and or service/sport/show prospects.

We do still have a few girls currently available. As always, placements are completed through our temperament testing, conformation evaluation, and matching process to help ensure each is paired with the most suitable home possible.

“Homage to the Stars”
Babies are officially 5 weeks old!!

Today they enjoyed an outdoor photoshoot after spending time discovering the kiddy pool, exploring the yard, and hanging out with mom while we worked outside. They are developing into incredibly confident, outgoing, and social giys with beautiful pigment, and substantial bone.

These babies are already showing so much promise and are expected to mature into phenomenal active companions, sport prospects, and show prospects for the right homes.

They are currently using their potty pans with around 80% accuracy, happily napping in the crate with mom throughout the day, and transitioning into weaning meals like absolute champions.
