We are so proud to announce that we have completed the third and last week of the Dog Gurus Daycare Games!! We are so proud of our handlers and the good boys and good girls who participated with us!

We have completed week 2 of the daycare games and we performed just as well as week 1! We are now moving into week 3 which is the gate boundary!

We are so excited to announce that we will be participating in the DogGurus annual Daycare Games! We start our practice week February 1st to the 6th! February 7th we start with the scored events starting with recall, moving on the next week to a group sit and finishing off with gate boundaries.
This is such a fun and engaging activity for us to show you our skills in working with dogs and for us to compete both against other handlers and other daycare facilities!

This weeks dogs of the week are... Toby and Sully!!

Toby and Sully aren't quite siblings but they're pretty close. Toby is a 7 year old Bernedoodle and Sully is a 4 year old mini Bernedoodle.
Toby is easily one of our biggest dogs at CPZ but he is the sweetest and truly a gentle giant. He can also be a bit of a goofball when it comes to playing. Toby loves to play tug with toys and his version of fetch; which is when he chases after a ball barking at it until it comes to a natural stop and then he will pick the ball up and bring it back to you.
Sully is a bit younger and more energetic than Toby and he loves to play with toys, bubbles, and anyone near him. Sully loves to play when Toby's around and will use him as a home base which surprisingly Toby doesn't seem to mind. When playing Sully will take a quick break to run over to Toby and do a mini play session before heading away again to finish playing with his friend.
Toby and Sully are a perfect pair who love to play all day at CPZ!

Dog of the week is… Ozzie!!
Ozzie is a 12-year-old Cairn terrier and though he’s getting up there in age he still likes to show the young pups how spry he is. Ozzie has a shirt that best describes him, with the saying “Happy Little Guy” which he has taken as his motto for life. Ozzie’s favorite activities to do when he boards with us include lovely frolics outside (when it’s not too cold), treat time, and of course cuddle time. He likes to come inside from a nice frolic outside and roll around and get snuggly in some blankets or a lap. He absolutely loves to lay on the couches and will often prefer that over anything else. Ozzie is also a big foodie and loves when it’s treat where he’ll sit without you asking. At dinner he gets kibble and green beans and will let you know he’s hungry by doing his little bark followed with little hops till he’s served. Ozzie always comes with shirts to board with us because he has growths that he likes to irritate by licking. So he’s always packed with a couple of changes of clothes and he doesn’t even mind them. He is so content and happy to do anything and it’s truly the most adorable thing to witness.

We are back with Dog of the Week!
This week we have Lulabell!!!!
Lulabell is an almost 4-year-old Australian Shepherd with the kindest spirit! Lulabell does so well in any room and gets along with everybody! Her play style for the day typically helps us determine what room will fit her best for the day; whether she's in a toy mood or a play-hard-with-friends mood. She loves to have toy days and will play "fetch". She can often be found looking at toy baskets and barking for a toy on these days. Lulabell hates to "lose" when playing "fetch". We should specify that she just has to be the first to pick up the ball but she drops it immediately and is more than happy to sit back and let another dog bring it back for us to throw. If we don't get her balls back quick enough she'll make sure to tell us. Besides "fetch" she likes her classic games of chase outside. When she's finally tired and wants to take a break she loves to get as much human attention as she can and will walk between your legs and try to get as many pets as possible.

Dog of the week is... Diesel!!!

Diesel is a friendly 5 year old Border Collie. When Diesel first started coming to daycare he was shy with handlers but he never let this apply to dogs and is always right there to introduce himself. Once Diesel has warmed up to you he's more than happy to do a bunch of tricks to show off his knowledge. His favorite trick to do is a 2 pawed shake! Diesel is so sweet and considerate to other pups as well and he loves to share with them. From toys to sniff spots he loves to share and bond while doing so.
Diesel has been such a friendly and fun pup!

Dog of the week is...Lucky!!!

Lucky is a 3-year-old Small Münsterländer and he is a big goofball. Lucky loves to play especially in grass yards. His favorite move to make on his opponents is a good old tuck and roll. He often distracts his friends long enough to gain a lead again. However, Lucky has the bad habit of getting too involved in the rolling part of the tuck and roll and will take a brief hiatus from play to roll before he's up and wants to run again. If all of his pup friends are tired he will often make his way to his handler and do a deep "oooh" to get us to play with him and once we've both play bowed he'll do a little leap away with his floppy ears. This can also sometimes be followed by his infamous tuck and roll.
Lucky is such a fun pup and we love having him goof around with other dogs and us!
