Test succeeded beyond my expectations. I wasn't pointed at anything recognizable but the stars are tight and round from edge to edge on the image. Next time I will get some sort of alignment and see if I can image a familiar deep sky object.

The Other (Other) Webb Telescope update. Note fewer cables and components . Using USB over Ethernet I have connected all the components to a monster PC several hundred feet away in my home office. Initial tests indicate everything is connected, so now we wait for some dark skies and see if we can point and see something.

28 years. In retrospect, this was my first disaster response, working with a federal agency while working for a DoD contractor. Spent some time in OKC a few weeks after. Terrorism has a different signature than a natural disaster. Very dark and very sobering.

Hueco's first chunky Christmas only a short time ago. He sat down at that spot and _did_ _not_ _move_ as I set up and decorated the tree.
