For your consideration;
Jasper is a 1.5yr buckskin old paint pony. I have had Jasper since he was 2 months old. His mother is a 13.3h quarter horse and we don’t know what his father is so unfortunately I’m unsure of what his mature height will be. Jasper gets along with both mares and geldings, young and old. He’s currently a companion for my senior gelding but he really needs his own person and pasture where he can be something more than a cute pony to look at in the front yard. This boy has the nicest little trot and I’d love to see him go to someone who will maybe teach him to drive or pull cart. I got Jasper in hopes he’d be a fun project to break to ride but given his size I don’t think he’ll ever be big enough for me to ride. Jasper is currently 11h to the wither and 11.1h to the hip. So far I’ve done a fair amount of ground work with Jasper. He leads, lounges, stands tied, is good for the farrier and vet, stands to be clipped and is UTD on coggins, vaccines and farrier work. I have hauled Jasper to multiple locations and he loads like a pro every time. As you’d expect he’s young, he does get a bit excited in new places but settles down to stand tied within minutes. I’ve ponied him off of one of my horses and he did well with that. Jasper is very quick to gain confidence with anything I’ve found that startles him at first as soon as you show him that it’s nothing to be scared of. I’m happy to talk to anyone interested in this little guy that thinks they can give him a more fulfilling life than being a pasture pet here.
Located in New Boston, NH
I’m asking low fours, open to offers if he can be placed before winter.
