Proud would be an understatement with this filly. Yesterday was the first time Willow has actually been worked since the move in May and she hasn’t missed a beat! We hauled to my friend’s barn where she’s never been, saddled her for the first time since May and I put her second ride on her which was also my very first time riding her. We didn’t ride long since I didn’t want to overdo it and she’s quite butt-high at the moment and that’s not very comfortable for either of us. She loved every second of our session and even loaded and hauled like an old lesson pony. Needless to say I was very impressed with this little 2yr old!

Little Jasper got to check out the trailer today and while he wasn’t a big fan of it at first he discovered that there’s hay in there so it’s not all that bad 😂

Levi Rose’s intro to mounted shooting! Levi is my personal gymkhana horse. Now that I’m getting into mounted shooting more I’ve been meaning to introduce Levi to the gunfire. Given that Levi is a very high energy horse and can be very spooky I’m impressed with how well his first time being exposed to gunfire up close went!! He may just make a shooting horse yet!!

The 2yr old mustang got her first ride done today and was the easiest youngster yet! Her first ride was done by Maddie and I’m told she’s a very smooth ride! Very excited for this little filly this year!

The Double T Horsemanship team is excited to announce that we will be hosting the HCYCF Summer Fun Gymkhana Series in New Boston this year!

- August 10th
- September 14th
