I will never not be obsessed with Willow’s transformation. My once raggedy and boney little mustang baby who didn’t know how to trust anyone is now grown into a beautiful and sweet, loving mare with all the confidence in the world ♥️

New year reminder for the small barrel racer with very big dreams:

You don’t have to be the biggest name.
You don’t have to have the fanciest horse.
You don’t have to have the biggest trailer, the biggest wallet, or the loudest, most relevant opinions.

You just have to believe in yourself and not be the person who laughs when someone else says their dream out loud.

There is room for all of us.
Your win doesn’t cancel mine.
Someone else’s success doesn’t make you smaller.

Dream big.
Run your race.
Cheer louder than you criticize.

Here’s to 2026, where we believe in ourselves and support others doing the same.

(If you’ve got a big dream this year, this is your sign to chase it.)

I truly don’t know how nobody scooped up this filly while I had her for sale. I took her on her first solo trail ride this afternoon and she just yet again reminded me of how truly incredible she is. Willow has been out of work for about a month, taking time to heal after getting hurt in the paddock from one of her pasture mates and yet she didn’t miss a beat. This is also only her second time being ridden in her snaffle but she’s figured out quickly how the pressure difference works compared to her normal rope halter set up. It’s rides like today that remind me just how much hard work and patience pays off ☺️

After how well Willow took in her first show I decided to bring her to the fair today and yet again she was absolutely incredible! Second show ever and first time ever seeing so many people, fair rides that make noise and spin around and of course all the sounds that occur at such an event and she couldn’t have cared less! She ran with both me and Maddie in about five classes, even breaking into a lope in some of them, and even brought home a ribbon or two. I truly cannot believe that this little mare is only 3 🤩

Proud would be an understatement for the way I felt at the HCYCF Gymkhana this past Saturday. This was Willow’s very first show, first time doing gymkhana patterns and she took absolutely everything in like an old pro. I am so excited for the future with this very smart 3yr old mare 🩷
