UPDATE!!!!!
Blue’s dad was released from the hospital this morning. With all of your donations I was able to get them a weeks stay at a local dog friendly hotel. Your donations totaled $570 and this week cost $616, Jean and I are committed to covering one more week. The local care coordinator for the homeless will be visiting with them sometime tomorrow. I had a crash course in homelessness the morning and it was eye opening. Unfortunately he doesn’t visit food kitchens, warming centers or homeless shelters so he can’t be verified as homeless which means he doesn’t qualify for any government assistance. We had a rough start after he was discharged with his car having a dead battery. The heart warmer moment was when he ate half of his Whopper sandwich and began wrapping up the other half commenting that it was for Blue. Words can’t describe how grateful he was for your support/donates and knowing that for the 14 days he and Blue will have a warm place to stay. Thanks to everyone who made donations and know that you helped make a difference in someone’s life.

Picked up this little guy from Memorial Hospital ER parking lot. His dad is receiving medical care and he had been in the car the last 7-8 hours. He’s scared and missing his dad. Big shout out to the McDonald’s on south 6th Street here in Springfield for the double cheese burger for his bribery snack. If you’re in Springfield and need a snack please stop by and purchase something from them to say Thank You for helping this guy out. As always there’s never a charge for kenneling these guys while their owners are getting the care they need. Judging from what I saw today Blue and his Dad could use a little help. Anyone out there with a little pocket change and wants to help? This is the kennel’s Venmo. Please write “Help Blue” in the comments and all money will go to Blue and his Dad.

Good morning everyone. So, this is Clay and he’s one being housed outside up until yesterday when a relative took him inside. They’ve been trying to rehome for a while now without any luck. 1 1/2 year old pitty mix. If you’ve been to the kennel you know that I’m a 100% supporter of this breed. So if you’re looking to get a dog or add to your family please consider Clay.

I always ask where everyone is going when they drop off and how your vacation was when you pick up so I thought I would share our three day getaway. This is Lights under Louisville, Ky. located in an old Limestone mine. We paid $43. to drive thru and that’s for the car load, no individual tickets. Definitely worth the money.

The holidays are coming and we are starting to get quite a few reservations. If you have plans for the holidays please make your boarding reservations now. With the state of the kennels available in the area I’m sure everyone will be full to capacity. If you’re a new customer boarding here for the first time there will be a deposit required because of our experiences from last year.

In this pet boarding business the pendulum can make some pretty big swings between good and bad, between success and failure. Two weeks ago these two needed a new home. With a huge effort of a few people we got it done. From truly outside dogs to the life of luxury. I think they’re going to have the life that all dogs need from here on out.
Today it swings again to the good because of one of my amazing customers. I have many but this one
tops anything that’s happened this summer. A Big Thank You to Dakota and your mom!! I appreciate it more that you know.
