As I posted last week… Dave and I made the difficult decison (or so we thought) to rehome Emma..aka MeeMaw… within an hour we had close to a dozen inquires… I took her to the Vet on Wednesday. And she met the new family yesterday that we felt would be a perfect fit… Once they all met the decision got a whole lot easier… She will be delivered early next week 🩷

This is going to be a wordy post. Emma aka Meemaw will be coming available for rehoming once she is completely through her heat Cycle… We aren’t “getting rid of her” we are offering the opportunity for her to live all the life she has left (born 9-23-22) to be a families forever pet… when you have a female that refused to be breed ..its time to let her go and live a different life… we have unsuccessfully tried every means possible for a mating with Emma… She refuses … and to me… this speaks volumes… We wont force Artifical Insemination on any of our females that refuse to stand for a mate. This isn’t a decision we have come to easily… and it is very disappointing on our end… Much Love and affection has been given to her for 3 1/2 years and she has been a part of our daily lives….Emma isn’t free… I personally don’t believe when something is free… it’s valued the same as something that isn’t … If you are interested in Emma please reach out to me with any questions… She is very smart …and has a super sweet personality… she enjoys our other dogs… cats… family members… she is UPD on boosters and will have a Vet check before rehoming… Emma may be one of the most “English” type dogs we have ever had and this decision does not come easily….and if we don’t find Emma the perfect match… she will be added to to ever growing group of “love” dogs here at Thistle Hill…
