🌎🌲 Happy Earth Day! 🌲🌎
Today we’re celebrating the incredible creatures—big and small—that share our world and make it a little more magical. From the soft noses and curious paws of our rats, to the tiny, hardworking isopods that help keep ecosystems clean, every life plays a part.

We love our isopods for their role in healthy bioactive systems—especially in reptile and invertebrate setups, where they truly shine. But when it comes to rats, their needs are different. We’ve spent years working with both, and we want to make sure our animals thrive in the environments best suited for them.

BIG NEWS! After years of careful breeding, we're excited to introduce the world's first glow-in-the-dark rats! No more searching for them under the couch as they glow naturally in the dark! We will begin taking reservations on these guys soon.

We are beyond grateful for another incredible 2025 Reptile Expo, and it’s all thanks to YOU—our wonderful customers, vendor friends, and the amazing community that makes every event so special! Nothing makes us happier than getting to see familiar faces, meet new friends, and watch you all enjoy our products. Your enthusiasm, kindness, and love for what we do keep us going, and we truly can’t thank you enough.

To our customers: You are the heart of what we do! Seeing your smiles, hearing your stories, and sharing our love of these amazing animals with you is what makes all the hard work worth it. Your support means the world to us, and we’re so excited for the rest of the expo year ahead!

Picture It Pythons (Picture It Pythons) – Not only do they produce stunning pythons and sand boas, but their photography skills are out of this world! Their work captures the beauty of reptiles in a way that we just can’t get enough of.

Morphs and Milestones (Morphs Milestones)– The work they do is truly inspiring. Their nonprofit organization uses rescued and rehabilitated reptiles to educate and provide therapy for persons with special needs, making a real difference in so many lives.

Much Plush ( on Instagram)– If you’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing their handmade crochet plushies, you know just how much love and talent goes into each piece. Absolutely adorable and insanely well-made!

Snail Mailery ( on Instagram)– Another incredible local artist, creating the most adorable handmade cutesy merch! Their work is full of charm and personality, and we love seeing the joy their creations bring.

Daggi’s Reptiles (Daggi's Reptiles)– Producing high-quality crested geckos with care and dedication, their animals are truly something special. Their passion for the hobby shines through in every little crestie they produce!

What's better than a little treat? A whole rattie ice cream party! Some of our crew were dainty lickers, while others....well, let's just say they got lost in the sauce. 😂🍦

Don't worry as every scoop was dairy-free and made with rat-safe ingredients!

As of this week, the pet trade isopods previously in the genus Merulanella are now classified as Ardentiella! This genus includes tricolors, ember bees, scarlets, diablos, bicolorata, etc.

Got three little helpers today while tending to the rattery. All patiently sat happy boggling while we passed out treats to some of their friends.

Playtime is serious business around here! Our mischief had a blast in their playpen, testing out their new cat tree, digging through foraging bins, and zooming through tunnels. Of course, a few preferred snuggles over adventure. Regular positive interactions like this help keep rats happy, confident, and engaged. 🐀🩵
