My sweet kitty, Clawdia, crossed the rainbow bridge last night. I got home from dog sitting to find her not able to stand. I rushed her to the emergency vet. After an examination I was told she had a blood clot and an issue with her heart. They were not able to do anything that would not cause her more pain and might not even take care of her issues. I am heartbroken and devastated. She had been my constant companion since my divorce. I got her during a dark time in my life and she brought me healing and joy. She was the best Black Friday purchase I ever made. I got her from the Hamilton County Humane Society. Erika and I were there what seemed like hours looking for the perfect cat. It was amazing we even saw her. She was in the last cage on the bottom and was hiding in the back corner of the cage. She always came running to the door whenever I came home and was always judging me from the window whenever I left. She slept with me almost every night. And there was never a box that she didn't try to get into. She loved to roll around on the floor on tissue paper. It was so funny to watch her rip the paper to shreds and she always got mad when I would throw it away but happy as soon as I gave her more. She was always on my desk whenever I was working. And would frequently make appearances on my video calls. I was blessed to have her in my life but our time together was much too short.
