Itβs true. Please support your local rescues. Please. πΎπΎππ©·πΎπΎ
Long rant incoming!!!
Rescue folks are tired and frustrated and dogs and cats are suffering. We need the community to STEP UP!
Everyday rescue folks are doing the best we can, but the truth is-it's not enough. its not because we aren't trying hard enough, its because we are all drowning and too many people are just watching from the shore.
Rescues and shelters need more fosters.
Shelters need more volunteers.
We all need more donations.
There needs to be more responsible pet ownership.
ALL pets need to be spayed/neutered.
We need people to use the resources that already exist.
Instead people are judging, criticizing and leaving negative comments when a dog looks rough - as if they know the backstory.
We will never get out of this crisis if people keep ignoring the problem, bumping the responsibility and assuming "someone else will fix it." We are here to tell you that there is no else, It's us and YOU!
The pet overpopulation crisis isn't just a rescue problem, it's a community problem. and we need the WHOLE COMMUNITY to help fix it. Here's how you can help:
Foster a dog or cat
Donate - even if its just a few dollars
Volunteer at your local shelter - 1 hour makes a world of difference for a dog or cat. What's 1 hour of your life?
Educate yourself. Spread compassion, not criticism.
If you love animals, NOW is the to SHOW UP!!
We need you. The animals need you!
