A BIG upgrade for the Desoto County Animal Shelter! 🐾

Yesterday, Supervisor Jessie Medlin got to take a look at the brand-new animal shelter transport truck, designed to provide safer and more comfortable transportation for animals in our community. The new vehicle is equipped with heating and air conditioning to ensure animals are transported in a controlled environment year-round, helping reduce stress during travel.

With six individual bay areas, a significant improvement from the previous unit that only accommodated two, staff can safely transport more animals at once. It also sits lower to the ground and includes and built-in ramp, making loading easier for both animals and staff.

This investment reflects a continued commitment to improving animal welfare across DeSoto County.

ADOPTED!!!!

Parakeets looking for a new home in time for Easter!

All 4 of these birds have been caged together & would love to be rehomed together, cage included if so.
There are 2 males and 2 females. All very social with each other. Not huge fans of being handled by people.

Please share and help us find these beautiful birds their forever home!
