Our mission is to help animals located within Newton and Mcdonald counties, to give them a second chance at their happily ever after. FFAA is a group of dedicated, caring individuals committed to the giving of time and talents to tackle the issues of animal welfare in the Neosho, MO area. We have received both federal and state non-profit status. In 2015 we completed building and opened our Adopti

on Center in Neosho, MO. The abused, abandoned, and neglected domestic animals in our community must entirely depend upon people like us to stand for the humane care and respect they deserve. Have you met Hays? Such a clever boy! He's decided to take things into his own hands and wrote his own personal ad this week in the Neosho Daily News! The idea has quickly caught on and all the shelter pets are now hitting up staff for paper, pencils, and crayons to write their own ads. I've told them they'll have to be patient as we can only submit one personal ad per week, but they are undeterred. Their spelling may not be perfect. but their hearts are in it 100 percent! Can't wait for the paper to come out? Then hop on over to the shelter W,Th,F noon to 6:00 pm or Saturday/Sunday 10:00-4:00 and let them tell you themselves exactly what they wish for!

🧡🐾 Meet Lark 🐾🧡

After our last orange cat post, we couldn't possibly leave out this guy. 😂

Lark is 2 years old and, honestly, we're pretty sure nobody ever told him he's a cat.

He's appointed himself the official babysitter, welcome committee, and emotional support specialist for every kitten that comes through the room. Other cats? Loves them. People? Absolutely obsessed with them.

If there's a lap available, Lark is already headed that direction. If you're sitting down, he's climbing aboard. If you're having a bad day, he's prepared to fix that too. 🥹

This sweet boy is the definition of a Velcro cat. He wants to be near his people, loves attention, and has never met a stranger. He's gentle, affectionate, and one of the easiest cats to fall in love with.

Which leaves us with one question...
How is Lark still here?
Seriously. We don't get it.

He's handsome, friendly, amazing with other cats, wonderful with kittens, and about as close to perfect as they come.

Meet Chaney, Chesley, Chia, and Charlie! 🐾

These adorable former bottle babies came to FFAA when they were just a few days old and were lovingly raised by a wonderful foster mom. Now, at 9 weeks old, they're ready to find forever homes!

Chaney and Chia are the girls of the group, while Chesley and Charlie are the boys.

Sweet, playful, curious, and absolutely irresistible, these tiny orange cuties are ready to steal some hearts!

Rigby is the kind of guy who likes to read the room first. New people? He’s got a few questions. A few concerns. Maybe a quick background check. 😂

Apparently, Cooper heard there was a Tent Sale at Shoe Sensation in Neosho and immediately volunteered to help with quality control. 😂

This handsome guy is out making friends, showing off his winning smile, and reminding everyone that shopping is way more fun when there's a dog involved. ❤️

HAPPY FRIDAY FROM LARK & SIMBA! 🐾

If you need a little extra sunshine to start your Friday, these two have you covered. 💛

Lark (the handsome orange guy) is 2 years old and has earned the title of Official Nursery Supervisor around here. He loves everybody, especially the babies, and is always making sure the little ones are loved, groomed, and properly spoiled.

And Simba? Well, at 17 weeks old, it's pretty clear he's decided Lark is the greatest thing since canned food. 😹

Every day includes snuggles, head bumps, and plenty of "I must be touching you at all times" moments.

Just look at this video — Simba is making sure Lark gets his daily dose of love. 🥹

We're not saying Lark adopted Simba... but we're not NOT saying it either.

FFAA currently has TWO resident loner queens… and honestly, Callie & Ebony are about one side-eye away from requiring their own separate kingdoms. 👑🤣

These girls have made it VERY clear they are not interested in roommates, shared space, or anyone else breathing too loudly near them. 🤦‍♀️

Callie sits in the window silently judging everyone that walks by like she’s reviewing applicants for her royal court… while Ebony operates with the energy of a retired queen who is tired of everyone’s nonsense.

Both are actually really sweet in their own sassy little ways, but they are definitely “one and only pet” type girls. No other cats. No drama. No peasants. 😂

Honestly, we’re just over here trying to keep the peace before somebody demands a throne and a staff meeting.

Please come make one of these beautiful girls the queen of your house! ❤️🐾
