Help Destiny Heal: A Little Kitten with a Big Will to Live
Destiny’s journey began on the side of a road. She was alone, injured, and desperately in need of help. She was found as a stray, and it was suspected she had been hit by a car. Just a tiny kitten, she had already endured more pain than any animal should face in a lifetime.
She was brought to Neenah Animal Shelter and received medical care with a local vet clinic where it was discovered she had sustained life-altering injuries. Because she was so small and fragile, immediate surgery wasn’t possible. Her leg was beyond saving, and amputation was recommended once she was strong enough to withstand the procedure.
Destiny was placed into a loving foster home, where her journey to recovery truly began. The first few days, she mostly slept, relieved to finally be safe and healing from the trauma she had survived. Slowly, with gentle care and encouragement, she began to eat and gain strength.
Now, as she inches closer to her goal weight for surgery, Destiny’s personality is beginning to shine. She’s playful, loving, full of spirit, and living up to the name we gave her. She’s not just surviving; she’s thriving.
But animals like Destiny can only receive this second chance because of people like you.
