Bash is a one-year-old sweetheart with quite the story. He was found lying in the road by a good Samaritan who brought him to us for help. When he arrived, he weighed only 5 pounds and was so small that we initially thought he was a kitten. Because we were concerned about possible head trauma and abrasions on his hip and leg, he was taken to BluePearl for further evaluation.
Since then, Bash has proven himself to be a resilient little guy. He's a professional biscuit maker, loves neck scratches, and fully commits to a good elevator butt. He's active, playful, curious, and always ready to be part of whatever you're doing. He's also extremely food motivated, especially if pâté is on the menu.
One of Bash's cutest features is his signature wink. It's a result of the injuries he sustained before coming to us, but it's become part of his charm and melts hearts everywhere he goes.
Bash is FeLV positive, which means he will need to be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV-positive cats. Because of this diagnosis, his life expectancy may be shorter than that of other cats. What matters most is making sure the time he does have is filled with love, comfort, and a family of his own.
What Bash doesn't know is that his diagnosis may mean he has less time than other cats. He wakes up every day ready to play, make biscuits, ask for neck scratches, and convince you that he absolutely needs another serving of pâté. Right now, he has his own room at the shelter, and while we're grateful he's safe, shelter life has left him a little unsure of himself. During the time he spent recovering in a foster home, though, Bash truly blossomed. He was affectionate, confident, playful, and showed us just how much he thrives in a home environment. We'd love for him to have that again.
At only one year old, Bash has so much life and love left to give. We don't want him to spend his best years waiting behind shelter walls. He deserves a home where he can relax, make biscuits, chase toys, demand neck scratches, and be loved for the special cat he is. If you're willing to open your heart to a cat who needs a chance, Bash is ready to show you just how wonderful he is.
