Deborah assisted Dr. Foskey with a spay, and we couldn’t resist sharing a glimpse behind the scenes!

Spaying doesn’t just prevent unwanted pregnancies—it also prevents pyometra, a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that can require emergency surgery.

Preventive medicine today can help protect our patients from serious problems tomorrow. 💙🐾

The name says it all… look at this Baby! 🥹🩵🐱

Sweet Baby came to see Dr. Foskey for allergies and itching. Cats can experience allergies too, and signs may include excessive scratching, licking or grooming, irritated skin, hair loss, or recurring ear issues. 🐾

Here’s to less itching, more relaxing, and one much more comfortable Baby! 💙✨

Apparently Stevie Licks’ spay appointment came with a mandatory meet-and-snuggle tour of NVC Nederland. 😂🩷

Stevie came in for her spay with Dr. Borel, and judging by the camera roll, absolutely EVERYONE had to take a turn holding her, petting her, and getting their Stevie snuggles in. 📸🥹

Can you blame us?! Look at that face! 💕🐾

A happy discharge day for sweet Petunia! 🩵🐾

Petunia recently underwent a ventral slot procedure with Dr. Hanson, and we’re so happy to share that she was doing great and ready to head home at discharge! 🐶❤️

There’s nothing better than seeing our surgical patients feeling better and getting back to the families who love them. Way to go, Petunia! 💙

When you're in vet med, apparently the job description doesn't stop when you're off the clock. 🐮💙

Last weekend, one of our technicians spotted a calf stuck in a canal while she was off work and immediately jumped into action. After making a call to the clinic, our kennel techs Christian and Jaiven headed out to help get the little guy to safety.

Dr. Clements from Care Vet Mid County also came out to lend a hand, and once the landowner arrived, everyone worked together to safely get this little calf out of the canal and back where he belonged. 🐄🙌

We're incredibly proud of our team and grateful for everyone who stepped in to help. Around here, caring for animals doesn't always happen inside the hospital walls. 🩵🐾

All hail the very regal Zeus! 👑🐱

This handsome (and VERY fluffy) gentleman was seen through our ER for difficulty swallowing, with Tech Elisabeth by his side for some extra care and attention. 🩵

Difficulty swallowing, excessive drooling, gagging, repeated attempts to swallow, or suddenly refusing food can be signs that your pet needs prompt veterinary attention.

We hope Zeus is back to ruling his kingdom comfortably very soon! 👑🐾

🦈 Last week, NVC Nederland did what NVC Nederland does best… we went ALL IN for Shark Week! 🌊😂

Huge shoutout to Brandi for capturing our team in their incredible Shark Week outfits! But our favorite part might be the photos of staff posing with the Nederland “sharks” — aka our veterinarians — like tourists visiting the aquarium. 📸🦈🤣

Never a dull moment with this crew. Thanks to everyone who dressed up, played along, and made Shark Week at Nederland one for the books! 💙🦈

Even the sweetest little girls have off days. 🐶🩵💐

Poppy came to see Dr. Foskey because she wasn't feeling her best. While we never like seeing our patients under the weather, we're always grateful to be here when they need us most. 💙🩺

If your pet isn't acting like themselves, trust your instincts. Changes in appetite, energy, or behavior can be early signs that something isn't quite right, and getting them checked sooner can make all the difference. ❤️🐾

We're sending Poppy lots of love and hoping she's back to her happy, playful self very soon! 🧡✨
