We would like to offer our condolences to the family of Sgt. Butler of the Navasota PD. Sgt Butler heroically gave his life protecting the people of Navasota yesterday. We could not do our job and help horses and their owners without people like Sgt Butler. Please say a prayer for him and his family.

The fourth pillar of my practice is care. This is what care looks like. Meeting a patient at 5:30am to solve an emergent problem before the horse leaves for a world show. And getting a little Crue in at the same time. For the folks outside of Texas, yes it is really 74 at 5am in late October.

Today we celebrate 1 year since opening the doors of Freedom Equine. We have been beyond blessed by the client support. All we can say is Thank You for helping us launch our little dream.

We look forward to continuing the serve horses and their people horses through high quality Performance Medicine. On to year 2.

Being an ambulatory practice has unexpected surprises. Like the romp of three otters crossing the road yesterday near Brookeshire. Didn’t have that on the farm call bingo card. (And I love the fact a group of otters can be called a romp. It fit those three.). I’m only sad I wasn’t fast enough to get a picture.

Happy Fourth of July! As is plainly evident, this is our favorite holiday at Freedom Equine. Time to get out all the red, white, and blue vetrap and fire up the grill. We can’t believe we are this lucky. Thank you for letting us be a part of your equine team.
