Brace for impact:
Trust me when I tell you that this evil being we call Satan is among us. Just because you do not see him doesn’t mean he isn’t there. The Bible warns us in 1 Peter 5:8: “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Learn to discern when he is trying to control your ways. It’s not a ghost story, it’s as real as it gets.
The Bible is the one and only set of instructions for how to live in the coming future. As Ephesians 6:12 states, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Many have said this, but it’s true….we are in a spiritual battle.
The sooner you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and confess your sins, the better. Romans 10:9 tells us, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” It takes time, like anything else, to “practice” your faith and learn to deal with the evil that comes our way. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
May God bless all of you. Satan is a formidable foe who can impact you physically. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
I highly recommend avoiding things that compromise your soberness.
1 Peter 5:8 stresses about being sober-minded. The more you are not in complete control of your faculties, the more likely you are to fall victim to his ways.
On your knees before the Almighty, asking for His grace and will to be done in your life is where you need to be. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
In the very second your life ends here on earth, are you willing to gamble with your soul that this is all not true? Matthew 16:26 asks, “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?”
I can assure you God is real, but so is Satan. Look around you and observe how we have taken a nosedive as a society in terms of morals.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 describes this: “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”
