✨Big, Beautiful, Broke & Gentle✨
8-9yr old bay mare standing 14.1h. Built like one should be — stout, shapey, big b***d and easy on the eyes. This mare is the kind that gets attention everywhere she goes. Sweet natured, quiet minded and loves attention from adults and kids alike.
Been used out on the trails and around the farm. Crosses water, mud, deadfall and rough country without making a big deal out of it. Rides out alone or in a group. Good to catch, load, haul and stand tied. Stands for saddling, mounting and grooming.
One of our favorite things about her is her personality. She’s the same mare whether she’s been ridden yesterday or sat for a bit. Gentle on the ground, kind with children and wants to be your buddy.
She has a nice handle, smooth walk/trot/lope, good stop and moves off leg pressure. Not a hot headed or silly mare. Just a solid using type horse with a good brain and a kind eye.

Unpopular opinion: the horse world would be a whole lot better if people cared half as much about honesty and horsemanship as they do appearances and social media.

Too many people buying horses beyond their skill level. Too many people pretending a horse is “bombproof” when it isn’t. Too many people tearing others down while acting perfect online.

A good horseman isn’t the loudest person on Facebook. It’s the one out feeding in bad weather, putting miles on horses, fixing mistakes quietly, and doing right by animals even when nobody’s watching.

Real horse people know the difference.

The amount of rude people and time wasters lately is unreal.

People will ask a million questions, demand every video possible, want constant updates, expect instant replies 24/7… and then completely ghost you. No respect for your time, your business, or the fact that you have a life outside of answering messages every second of the day.

The second you don’t reply instantly, they move on somewhere else and somehow YOU become the bad guy.

Small businesses are run by real people. We work long hours, juggle a hundred things at once, and still try to give everyone the time and honesty they deserve. A little patience and basic respect goes a long way.

Nobody talks about this part of the horse industry enough… but burnout is real.

It’s early mornings and late nights. It’s working in the heat, the cold, the mud, and everything in between. It’s putting the horses first no matter what’s going on in your own life. It’s the physical exhaustion… but more than that, it’s the mental weight.

It’s the pressure to always produce, always improve, always keep going—even when your body is tired and your mind is running on empty. It’s the financial stress, the unpredictability, the constant hustle just to stay afloat. And somehow, you’re still expected to love every second of it.

And then there’s the people…

The ones with no compassion. No respect. The ones who think everything should happen on their time, their way—like the world (and your horses) revolve around their convenience.

They don’t see the early mornings, the late nights, the sacrifices. They don’t understand that this life doesn’t have an “off switch.” Horses don’t care about your schedule, the weather, or someone’s unrealistic expectations.

But somehow, you’re still expected to bend, rush, and deliver—no matter what it costs you.

That kind of pressure? That’s where burnout really starts to hit.

And don’t get me wrong—we do love it. That’s why we do it. But loving it doesn’t make you immune to burnout.

Some days it’s not passion driving you—it’s grit. It’s discipline. It’s showing up because the horses depend on you, whether you feel like it or not.

If you’re feeling burnt out, you’re not alone. You’re just carrying more than most people see.

Take a second when you can. Reset where you can. Because this life will take everything you’ve got if you let it—but it’s okay to admit when you’re running low.

The real ones in this industry? They understand.
